The Didiomanja Emperor's Grace has completed work on the Tiverion Academy, a flight school for Imperial naval cadets. The organisation is hosting an inaugural banquet to mark the event, and to honour the late Admiral Mira Tiverion, the organisation's founding member, who will have a monument erected at the site.
A spokesperson for the Didiomanja Emperor's Grace released the following statement:
"The Tiverion Academy will provide new recruits with cutting-edge training facilities. To host a fitting banquet for its inauguration, we require help in sourcing a range of exotic food and drink. We also require a quantity of gold to make the monument raised in the Admiral's memory a truly spectacular tribute."
The campaign begins on the 5th of July 3304 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.

AD has been doing a lot of digging into magazine archives lately, and he's found a lot of Prophecy love in the Russian mag Game.EXE. To kick things off, the December 1997 issue had a big WCP advertisement and four page review spread. It earned a 91% score and "Hall of Choice" award by the editors. They followed up in a big way in February 1998. In this issue Prophecy received a big "space simulator of the year" title, they held a contest and also interviewed producer Rod Nakamoto. As I've said before, I just like admiring the interesting and colorful vintage layouts, but if you don't speak Russian, there are still ways to interpret what's been written. A smartphone app with a camera feature such as Google Translate does a pretty good job of converting the text in real time to your preferred language.

…We're now entering the final stretch for ZOmegaZ's mission to create a set of Wing Commander challenge coins. Clocking in at over $20,000 so far, the project's crowdfunding campaign is at nearly quadruple the minimum order size, so there should be no concerns about it successfully concluding. There are a handful of other sci-fi universes being included here as well, so head on over to the effort's Kickstarter page if you want to get in on the action. You have until early Saturday morning!
We only have a week left on this, and it's gone amazingly well! Out of the nine designs, seven have surpassed the minimum order quantity, five of those have more than doubled the MOQ, and three (B5, Firefly, and Star Trek) have quadrupled it! Frasier and TSO are bringing up the rear, with 33 and 27 each, but the other designs have been so successful that's not any problem. Those were my personal favorite designs

Thank you to everyone playing the Expedition Two – Beachhead Update, especially those taking the time to report any issues they encounter via Zendesk or console crash reporting.
We are listening closely to your feedback, and have identified and resolved a number of issues. These fixes are included in patch 3.42, which will be live on all platforms soon.
Patch Notes- Fixed an issue that could cause the Galaxy Map to fail to draw a path to long-distance mission destinations.
- Implemented a recovery fix for players affected by a previous issue that removed the correct options from Nada and Polo. Specialist Polo will now always offer directions to an Atlas Station or Black Hole.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent the Collective Consciousness milestone from being marked complete after purchasing the Myth Beacon.

General: Resolved an issue that was preventing some promotional Fleet Modules from being accepted by Ship Vendors. "Khitomer in Stasis" is no longer eligible to be chosen via Random TFO, at any difficulty level. Resolved an issue that prevented Klingon superweapons from animating during activation in the Dyson Sphere Adenture Zone. Resolved an issue in the "Future Proof" mission group, so that when accessing missions from sector space, the mission start and continue buttons show at the top of the button list and are in gold text. Resolved an issue that prevented correct Bridge Officers from appearing on the TOS Constitution Bridge.

…A company that purchased 4,000 Imperial slaves has revealed itself as a slavery emancipation group.
Using the name Tilbery Construction, the group claimed that the slave workforce would be used to build a water treatment facility for Port Isabelle, the capital of Eotienses A 3. Instead, the slaves were transported outside the city and set free.
The individual acting as the company's CEO, Garrett Kline, made the following statement:
"The true purpose of Tilbery Construction was to provide liberty. As members of the group Autonomy, we renounce institutionalised abuse and fight for human dignity. I am proud to say that we have returned four thousand enslaved people to freedom, so they may live their life however they wish."

I started looking over some of my older stuff and found a few issues with my original Vindicator model. There were some scaling issues and a few misses from a modeling perspective (not tapering the fuselage into the cockpit section being the most egregious) So I set about making a new one. This version is closer to the FMV model, has a more accurate texture and paint scheme, and is alot lighter on the polygons.\
Next I started on a WC1 favorite of mine - the good ol' A-14 Raptor. Of all the WC1 ships this one gets the least love I suppose. but who doesn't love a X-wing/Gunstar hybrid? Besides, the combination of neutron and mass drivers makes it especially lethal in my book. I know most of you are Rapier fans, which is

Leir is an unclaimed system that some once thought would develop into a major hub for Humanity. Discovered by an ICC scanning team canvassing Banshee in 2677, the pathfinders were thrilled to discover an A-type main sequence star with three mineral-rich and potentially habitable planets. The system’s initial assessment sparked interest in both the public and private sectors. Imperator Illyana Messer VI, still tightening her grip on the reins of power, decided not to commit resources to the system, leaving Leir’s official status in limbo.

…Three starports attacked and damaged by Thargoid forces have now been restored to full functionality.
Carter Armstrong, chief administrator with Aegis Core, told the press:
"When we requested help to repair Thargoid-hit starports, we hoped the galactic community would be generous, but they exceeded our expectations. A colossal influx of materials has enabled us to repair two stations in the core systems in record time."

…Mac has posted a couple of teasers for his next Wing Commander lore video. This one is shaping up to be bigger and more elaborate than his usual episodes, so he's posted these snippets to tide fans over while work continues. The first image sets up the ground attack on Vukar Tag with a couple of Rapiers. There's also a Ferret furiously dodging laser bolts from an entire wing of Kilrathi. Although I'm already quite familiar with what happens in End Run, I can't wait to see the video come together!
