That said, Casey Hudson recently had something to say about Dragon Age 4 and more Mass Effect, and fans are sure to be excited.

Speaking with Game Informer, the BioWare GM had a lot to say about their upcoming action RPG Anthem. However, it was the other staples of the studio that has received a bit of attention. When asked about the prospect of Dragon Age 4, he said:

I would say a majority of the people at BioWare are working on Anthem, but we do have people who are figuring out what a next Dragon Age would look like.”

Hot off the news of Anthem’s lead producer Ben Irving leaving BioWare, it has been revealed that another key member of the BioWare team is heading for different pastures. It has been announced that today was the last day for Fernando Melo, former Senior Producer for Dragon Age 4. Melo worked as a Senior Producer on Dragon Age Origins and its sequel, as well as companion apps for various games. Check out his announcement via Twitter below:

It was this past October when longtime BioWare developer Mike Laidlaw announced his retirement from the company after 14 years. Having been a leading creative force in not only the realm of Dragon Age, but also with the likes of Mass Effect and Jade Empire, Laidlaw’s departure was definitely an upset for fans of those epic adventures. Recently, he opened up about why he decided to leave BioWare, as well as what he’s been up to since his departure.

In the most recent episode of the The Game Informer Show podcast, Laidlaw revealed several of his current goings-ons, which includes his game-streaming exploits as well as his formal job of secretive consultant work with other studios. He also went on to discuss why he left BioWare, a decision he attributes to wanting a change of scenery following his extended 14-year experience with the studio. Laidlaw described the feeling as a “seven-year itch, times two”.

It's been a killer week for Wing Commander models! Today we've got a Drakhri built by Ardias and based on Klavs' original 3D model. There's actually two variants depicted below that differ in a clever way. The first was built as one piece by the printer. It's a convenient way to manufacture something... although carefully removing the connection points still takes some time. This is the version that was painted, and it looks great in the end! There's also a second take that comes in several pieces. In theory, someone with a smaller 3D printer could still produce this with each element manufactured separately. This always makes it so tempting to buy a 3D printer! You can read all about the construction process or download the associated files at the CIC Forum.

Today we have a fabulous digital painting to share. This depiction of a Ferret taking on a Drakhri was created by artist Mike Riendeau. He's currently making a series of video game-inspired art, which you can find on Twitter here. The scene was suggested by More_Boom_Boom, and it's a really great one. I love the stylization that takes the relatively sterile gray Ferret cockpit and gives it the green-and-blue glow of a Sabre. Very cool!

Justin Hair posted this really crisp decal of a Dralthi fighter. He made it with a Cricut machine, which is kind of like a 3D printer machine for cutting. The result has great color balance and a really cool layering effect for each shape element. Physical art projects like this are just wonderful! I'm not sure what his plans are yet... maybe print a few of these and stick them on his driver's side car door?

Using the Cricut I was able to make a big sticker of a Dralthi.
