The Vega Sector fleet continues to grow.
DefianceIndustrieshas turned his attention to the Tiger's Claw, and he's taking an interesting perspective on it. The goal is to merge some of the differences between the in-game sprite and the line art from Claw Marks. There are lots of different versions of the Tiger's Claw that show up here and there, and each has its own interesting aspects, so this is pretty cool to see!
The WC1 parade continues. Line-art accurate Bengal for all. You'll notice several differences between the line art and the final Sprite model. The three biggest ones I found are the tapering at the bow is more pronounced, There are only 5 engines instead of 6, and overall the vessel isn't very tall, it's more squat than the final version. But, I kinda dig the '80s ball style turrets and the more detailed stern. I'll texture it when time permits.

…‘Tis the season, puny mortals! The benevolent Q has deigned to once again grace his chosen few starship captains with the opportunity to enjoy his seasonal wonderland, and all of the joys and challenges it has to offer. The pièce de résistance of this event is, of course, the new Event Starship being offered up as a potential prize for any Captains wishing to participate in the “Fastest Game on Ice” on a daily basis. Doing so will earn you the 2018 Winter Prize Vouchers, which may be used in a special Event Reputation Project to claim your very own Fek’Ihri S’torr Warship (T6)! Complete details regarding this starship, its stats and capabilities, will be released in a future Dev Blog. Stay tuned! While the activities offered within this year’s version of Q’s Winter Wonderland have not changed since last year’s addition of the Kramp’lhri and his jovial antics, the prizes that

…There's a couple of really cool updates for the
Homeworld Remastered Mod. Up first, the demo WC3 era campaign has a new mission. It's a neat setup where players have 15 minutes to prepare for a Kilrathi invasion force. There are a number of ways to win and a number of things to do to get ready, and it'll be interesting to see how players take this challenge on. The other improvement is a visual trick that potentially allows
L.I.F.to implement variable textures on his ships. This will allow the game to better differentiate between different members of the same class with proper naming or hull numbers. Grab the latest version of the mod
here.
I'm mostly done on the third Victory single player mission: Following the successful destruction of the Kilrathi supply convoy, the Victory and her battlegroup are holding position next to the jump point. The InSys station that noticed the convoy in the

…Exotheologian Dr Alfred Ulyanov has commented on the abandoned Far God outposts recently discovered in the Etain system:
"This fascinating discovery implies that the missing chapters of the Far God sect were not arrested or killed, but instead fled to secret outposts to avoid persecution."
"According to personal logs recovered from the sites, the sect's members planned to wait in suspended animation for the coming of the Far God. The logs also reveal surprising details about what motivated these individuals to devote themselves to the faith."
"Evidence suggests that the settlements on Etain 4a and 4c both came under attack, but whether by Thargoids or human forces is unclear. Mysteriously, no trace remains of the inhabitants."
"I am indebted to the explorers who discovered these sites. This information will significantly contribute to the book I am co-writing with Gethin Okonkwo about the Far

Centaurianmudpighas released some new samples from his WC-inspired space combat game,
Project Aries. The first of the two animated gifs below show off the classic interior cockpit options that you can select during flight. Then there is a demonstration of WC1/2 style flak cannons in action. Finally, there's a clip of a Salthi and Dralthi lookalike escorting a transport. It's nice to see there's still progress being made!
It's been (almost) two years, while development has been on and off (mostly off), work continues.

Q&A: Aopoa San’tok.yāi
Following the launch of the San’tok.yāi from Aopoa, we took our questions to the ship designers to give you more information on this recently-unveiled medium class fighter.
Special thanks to John Crewe and Todd Papy for answering our questions.
What can the San’tok.yāi do that the Khartu-al cannot and vice versa? What are the advantages and disadvantages? What are the main differences?
In the Xi’an order of battle, the Khartu-al serves principally as a light fighter, scout, and skirmisher, whereas the San’tok.yāi is a medium fighter and direct combatant. Just like the UEE Military, the Xi’an military employs various types of fighters with different strengths and performance characteristics. The comparison between a Khartu-al and a San’tok.yāi is similar to the comparison between a Gladius and a Hornet – one emphasizes firepower and the other emphasizes speed

…Writer’s Note: Phantom Bounty: Part Three was published originally in Jump Point 3.3. Read Part One here and Part Two here.
Mila and Rhys had chased the Phantom for months, had spent nearly every last credit, had put all their hope in finding her and collecting the bounty.
The Phantom stood in front of them at last, cuffed inside their prisoner pod. Mila should have felt elated, but all she felt was shock.
Evony Salinas. Mila had stopped going by Evony a decade ago, yet the Phantom knew her real name. And the Phantom’s face looked just like her former best friend’s — Casey Phan — a girl found murdered ten years ago.
It couldn’t be possible. But it was. The terrorist who had hit all those Phan Pharmaceutical labs was the founder’s own daughter. And she wasn’t dead. She’s alive.
Mila kept her eyes on the Phantom and wavered on her feet. Rhys reached out and grabbed her arm, steadying her.

…Hello Everyone!
It’s now been a week since we released Visions, and we’re so happy to see players discovering and enjoying the new colour palettes, exotic landscapes, flora and fauna, and new rare items and curiosities to collect! We think we’ve succeeded in enhancing the sci-fi aesthetic of No Man’s Sky, and making the universe a little bit stranger – something we hope to continue doing in the future.
Today, we are releasing a patch to address a few gameplay and stability issues. We also wanted to write a small development update to highlight some community activity and reflect on the status of the ongoing two-week research mission.

Specialist Polo and Priest Entity Nada have detected another shift in the fabric of realities – an aftershock of the universal regeneration that occurred only a few months ago. Dead planets have awakened and twisted into strange new environments, and Polo

The conflict between two rival factions in the Loha system has now come to an end.
Karleen Troy, freelance warzone reporter, delivered a report for the Vox Galactica news service:
"This has been a harrowing week for the people of Loha. In that time, I've witnessed acts of brutality and heroism from both sides. But now that their resources are exhausted, overall control of the system has finally been established."
"For those pilots who took advantage of the conflict, this will have been a profitable exercise. Both factions have announced that pilots can now collect their rewards from Whitworth Station in the Loha system."

…The Achilles Corporation has announced plans to replace all robots destroyed as a result of the recent spy robot scandal.
Chairman Gus Weaver of the Sol division of Achilles Corp said:
"We take customer support seriously. That's why we're offering to replace – free of charge – any robots destroyed or damaged by owners who suspected them of behaving inappropriately."
"To achieve this, we've asked the Adenets Pro-Alliance Bond to organise deliveries of robotics, computer components and microcontrollers to Henslow Market in the Adenets system. These will be used to produce brand new PA912 administration robots and other models."
"The Adenets Pro-Alliance Bond has also placed a kill order on all ships on its wanted list, to ensure that those delivering commodities can do so safely.
The initiative begins on the 29th of November 3304 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier

Aegis has announced a breakthrough that has effectively neutralised the disruptive effects of Thargoid Sensors on starports.
Henrik de Lacerda, a senior engineer at Aegis Research, told the media:
"As we know, Thargoid Sensors can cripple starports for weeks or months at a time, but recent advancements in our study of meta-alloys have resulted in an effective cure for what was once called 'the technological plague'."
"New procedures in the application of meta-alloys mean that extremely small quantities are now sufficient to shield systems from disruption."
"Following this breakthrough, we have made arrangements to ship meta-alloys to all affected stations, to restore them to functionality. It will not be long before every starport in known space is immune to Thargoid Sensor–related interference."

…With all of the news that has been surrounding Anthem, some fans of other BioWare franchises might feel a little left out. Sure, the studio is focusing on their brand new IP, but that doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten about the likes of Mass Effect or Dragon Age.
That said, BioBoss Casey Hudson recently posted an entry to the company’s blog to give everyone an update on how things are going. One particular aspect of the post has to do with Mass Effect and the teasing of something big that might be on the way. Hudson talks about the recent N7 Day and says that it is one of his “favorite times of the year” because it’s “a day when people around the world share their experiences with Mass Effect.”
“It’s so inspiring to know that there are so many fans of the series out there that are enjoying the games we’ve made, and hoping that we’ll make more,” he continued. Hudson then goes on to mention how one of their

Dardaelhas made a fun new Wing Commander overview video. For starters, it's all in Italian, and we love to see fans spread the word in different languages to reach as many people as possible. On top of that, he's gone through and added extensive subtitles so English speakers won't be left out. He's also upped the production values a notch here by dressing up as a WC1 pilot and inserting himself into various scenes via green screen! That's dedication! Let him know what you think at the
CIC Forums.
Hi there! I just made a retrospective video about the first Wing Commander. Is in Italian, but I added English subtitles. I would appreciate your help about this, since my English is veeeery rusty :pEnjoy!
