Captains, welcome to Age of Discovery! This is a landmark event for Star Trek Online as it marks the first time that the game has run in parallel with a live Trek television show. We are already experiencing fantastic new synergies collaborating closely with CBS and the show writers. Captains will experience this right away in a reimagined Federation starting experience working alongside Cadet Sylvia Tilly (voiced by Discovery's Mary Wiseman) as players set out on epic, multi-release adventures. In AoD’s maiden voyage, players will journey to iconic locations from Star Trek: Discovery, exploring the depths of the Dilithium Mines of Corvan II, boarding the new experimental Crossfield class starship, the U.S.S. Glenn, and defending Starbase 1 from a fearsome attack by the Klingon House of D’Ghor. Captains will also come face to face with the vicious J'Ula, matriarch of the House of Mo'Kai and

One of our favorite things to come out of the internet this past year has been the fantastic Shield of Tomorrow, the actual-play show run by Eric Campbell on Geek and Sundry’s Twitch Channel and Alpha. The crew of the Sally Ride, Aliza Pearl, Bonnie Gordon, Hector Navarro, Sam de Leve, Amy Dallen and Gina DeVivo, beamed themselves onto our computer screens each week with new tales of the Federation facing against the unknown. It even inspired some of the STO developers to do their own tabletop live stream. Sadly, Shield of Tomorrow's initial run is coming to an end, and while you won’t have to miss the incredible cast on the screen (they’ll still be around in a brand new show), we couldn’t let Shield of Tomorrow pass into internet history without our own little memorial. Starting July 13th, the Sally Ride will hanging out in Sector Space in Star Trek Online…somewhere. We’re not going

Long-time veteran players of Star Trek Online may well remember the team events of Gorn Minefield and Federation Minefield – queued activities in which your team tries to free captive freighters from clusters of mines, then drives off enemy ships in order to retake asteroid mining facilities, all capped with a battle at the end against a powerful enemy flagship. The Minefield events are some of the earliest queued content that players will see, as even low-level captains can play them. Of course, the Minefield queued events come from the earliest days of Star Trek Online, and so it’s about time we put a little bit of polish on them! As part of the release of our new landing page, designed to help players find interesting things to do, we’ve updated the Minefield queued events and turned them into a new, slightly different story: The Romulan Imperial war machine, always hungry for raw materials,

Five new patrols are coming to Star Trek Online, bringing new challenges and story to the universe. J’Ula, sister of T’Kuvma, is on the march once again. She is seeking the spores of prototaxites stellaviatori to fuel her devastating new superweapon. With the aid of Lt. Commander Paul Stamets and Captain Kuumaarke, captains can stand tall in the fight against the dangerous matriarch of House Mo’Kai. We’ll be revealing the new patrols one at a time in the lead up to Awakening – check back with Startrekonline.com for more! Within The Briars Within the Briar Patch, the player braves deadly pockets of Metreon Gas to protect spore colonies from the agents of House Mo’Kai. You will first be able to access these new Patrols from your mission journal after completing the episode “Beneath the Skin.” If you are on a Patrol mission from the journal, have completed it, or skipped it, you

Following Thargoid strikes on the fringes of the core systems, a new initiative to restore damaged starports has been announced.

Chief administrator Carter Armstrong spoke on behalf of Aegis Core, which is coordinating the campaign:

"We've set up this fund to reassure citizens that normality will continue, no matter what. I would like to appeal to the galactic community to restore services in the core systems to their previously high standard."

An open order has been placed for construction materials, which will be shipped to the affected starports and used to make repairs. Pilots are asked to make their deliveries to Dantec Enterprise in the Socho system.

The campaign begins on the 31st of May 3304 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.
