    Hooray, we have a teenager!

13 years ago a dream was born, a dream about a Community full of great people and lots of fun.
Together we went through ups and downs, worked hard to create something impressive that people always will remember and enjoyed the fruits of this hard work.
This community evolved into something great and after 13 years we are in a situation where we have so many options that its hard to decide.
Whatever that future decisions will be, we keep moving forward, knowing that this is a place by the players for the players.

In the past years I often released impressive numbers about Portal visitors, mod downloads... etc.
    I'll skip that today.
While these numbers are about the same as last year (slightly better) I consider them relative unimportant.
You cant measure joy in numbers.
People had the chance to discover all the new stuff in CF2.0 during the past year and also helped to make this mod even better.
People also were active on the forum.
This shows me that this is a

It's been an excellent week for Excalibur models! The Wing Commander community has its own version of the twin movie phenomenon where it seems like fans develop similar items in totally separate bubbles. As is often the case, the result here is that we have double the amazing eye candy to enjoy! In his latest masterpiece, Defiance_Industries designed a slightly beefed up Excalibur based on the Secret Ops version as a bridge to the concept version meant for Wing Commander Arena. There are some very handsome shots of it parked in the Victory's flight deck - plus pics alongside a classic Excalibur and Midway megacarrier. Last, but certainly not least, Defiance has mocked up an entire virtual history of this variant in an ICIS style recap. You can read up on that in a PDF here.

    Hello!

Thanks for your continued feedback following the release of Atlas Rises! Today we’re releasing Patch 1.32 on PS4 and PC, which addresses the following issues:

    • Fixed an issue that could cause cargo slots not to unlock after purchase
    • Players who had previously learned all alien words are now able to progress through the story
    • Players who’ve unlocked all general exosuit slots can now unlock tech and cargo slots as intended
    • We’ve fixed an issue that caused base NPCs to stop responding after claiming a new base location. This will prevent new occurrences of the issue, a fix for those who have already experienced it is under investigation
    • Fixed an issue preventing players from being able to finish farmer and exocraft missions
    • The base terminus teleporter will now display mission objectives, allowing you to select the correct system. It will also no longer ‘forget’ mission critical systems. This will prevent

    Review 2016 / Preview 2017

Just about a week ago I announced another update that I want to release end of December 2016 or beginning Janurary 2017 (depending on how fast I can finish the development and how much extra content I decide to put in). This new update will introduce the "Dynamic Universe" feature to Crossfire 2.0. Some people might remember that we had a similar feature in Crossfire 1.83, long time ago. Due to the complexity of such a feature and due to other priorities, the "Dyniamic Universe" didn't make it

Like every year Id like to loose a few words about the year which is reaching its end today.

Well, it was a relative calm year when i look back. No major catastrophes, relative small troubles over the entire year. Thats good.

The community held together and helped each other and of course new players. Thank you for that.

2013 also was the year where Crossfire got its 7th Mod of the Year nomination which is certainly a milestone for us. No other Freelancer mod and I also believe no other mod in general managed to get to this point. Thank you for all your votes.

Speaking of Crossfire the year 2013 was also an incredible time and work intense year.

I think only Huor really knew how much I was trying to push the development of Crossfire 2.0 since May/June in order to reach a state where we can discuss about a "release" and he also has spent such an incredible amount of work on the mod that I just want to say thank you. Thank you also to the other people which helped... on the mod and on

Lost Fleet update in Q1 2019

Lost Fleet is going to continue the Crossfire bonus missions and will open a new world for the players to explore. Main focus will be the Sol sector and its past secrets. With this new update we will introduce new systems (additional to Epsilon Eridani and Tau Ceti), new natural solar objects, new stations, new ships, new equipment and even (a) new faction(s) aswell as new story content related to it.

Twelve years ago this community went live.
Since that we have achieved much and today it is time to look back, remember great times but also look forward to new tasks, to a new and even better future.
The past year was incredible hard for us as developers and website staff members.
This place has changed alot over the past year and we have done an incredible amount of work to bring it to this state.

Not only that we have a shiny new Portal with awesome performance and awesome functionalities... no... we also have Crossfire 2.0 running on our server, reached the highest possible rank in our Star Trek Online Fleet and have been voted into the Top100 of the Mod Awards for the 8th time.
Thousands of working hours went both into the Portal and into the Mod.
The new year will bring further improvements and of course a great time for our members.

But today... we all should lean back and enjoy the day.... celebrate another great year in this community.
