As the title says my game is capped at 30fps and it isn't pleasant to play, so is there any fix out there?

this game is over 14 years old. 60fps was unheard of back then. You'll have to lower your standards for an old ass game...or not play it
That would be mega petty though
And even IF there was a 60fps hack for freelancer, it would look like shit. It would be like trying to play Doom II on a 60" plasma.

generaly i have 30 fps, and with 60 fps for example, the difference isn't big (Very small difference with Corssfire)

and, max 30 fps, only with CF ? (check your screen in first for watch your maximum fps (ex:50Hz, 50 fps max), after, your graphic card, CF need power!!, i have 40 fps with gta5 in medium but CF, wow, max 30

but the issue is that on the original version 60fps wasnt an issue but on cf for some reason it doesnt let it go over 30.. I'm asking if it's only a problem with me or it's the mods limitations

Vanilla shader should be at 60 fps.
Perhaps you use a different shader ? -

on my current system CF runs at about 180 fps when V-Sync is off (NVidia GTX 750 Ti, 1920x1080, ENB Standard shader); I've never had or heard about the 30 fps limit...

Most CRT monitors were capable of 85 or 100 Hz refresh rate, and most games I knew (including Freelancer) could run at even faster frame rates when not limited by GPU performance or V-Sync.
Are you sure you got that info from a reliable source? -
@GodEatGod pls check How to avoid grafic Problems while playing Freelancer and see if that makes a difference.
