Ya, what I replied at Bot's thread about RSI... looks epic =) And he's the founder of Digital Anvil... the stuff on his site is interesting. And the Freelancer forum part too
-
Microsoft was just like this team's boss, and giving the equipment (PCs), so they weren't the ones creating Freelancer, but they are the fault that FL got closed, the source code eliminated(or closed) and later on, Digital Anvil disbanded.

Chris Roberts don't even appear in Outlander's credits (in any of them, neither actors or helpers), the Director is Howard McCain and as writers, the same guy and Dirk Blackman.
-
I though Spiky was the only one that used Pinky things(ships).

Well, it's just that people think Gaming consoles are for games, and PCs are for something else. afGun, (Hidden Content)
-
Yeah Cygna, consoles can't do what other consoles can, but PC can do everything any console can, and more. Anyway, new space sci-fi/sim games are always welcomed
-
By what I've seen in the images, it's pretty much like Freelancer (as the space, is simple, or at least in the images he's releasing, before barely starting on the game).

Consoles were ment to be only for games, but now the ones like Xbox or PS have online capacity, you can chat with people through them, see videos, the internet, a lot of things from the PCs, that were forced to be added since not enough people buy whole consoles only for games, and they weren't going to survive like that. The professional ones know what's best. Especially since, with emulators, you can even play Gameboy Pro games on PC, or Nintendo DS... PS3 games too. Also, as it's only about …

The OS, well, Windows or Linux, never get slower and never get filled with junk data if you don't install/uninstall programs. Programs counting everything installable, from games up to Microsoft Photoshop. It gets slowly cookie data while you are on the internet, but slowly. Everything else that appears is by/because of the user, not the OS. And stuff like CCleaner can solve months of junk data in a minute While you do it periodically, there won't be critical errors neither the need for formatt…

Well, no special news except more money and features for the donators
-
Simply stay on here.... at least we know that HIS project won't be any Freelancer 2
-
I guess it will be released when Sandy bridge CPUs are low cheap stuff (compared to newer superior gear) and everyone have them... same as for graphic cards.
-
What I found harder at that ship is it's complexity and polys... well... that ship needs a very good PC to actually fly it.
-
Of course he's capable of doing a great (visually) game, even though the multiplayer experience can't be like on Freelancer since it will be something like Halo, with instance rooms instead of servers, it will look great. My worry is about if he had enough money, and we can play SC as a normal game, or it will be like Diablo 2 or such, where you have to pay to play on it, even singleplayer...

i seriously doubt Win 8 pimps up 5 yo PCs, well, at least Win 7 doesn't, compared to Win XP
-
Actually, they may be right. Pimping up doesn't mean it goes faster, but nicer
-
Not sure if that's a prediction... since he said from the beggining that it's a combination of the "best" of the games he was in, especially Wing Commander.

Him: "Which ones ?"

X Rebirth looks greatly realistic, not about effects, but how the stations depods and such would look, being human made, not perfect stations with geometrical shapes. I like that And well, about games... fortunately I first try them the pirate way. In any place where you can get such games, it says "If you like/enjoy the game, Buy it !" or with a addition of "Support the creators by buying it" and etc. So at least I don't have much to complain, at least the money refunding petitions part

Well, Star Citizen has no "trilogy" nor is a sequel of something (game inspirations shouldn't be counted as presequels or something), so he shouldn't try to ruin the game and everything, as well that it's pretty much his last chance to make something good... he's getting old, and if he fails this one, he will lose any future in here. He started well, he didn't fail at the funding grabbing part, let's see if he continues the same way
