  • Many Questions... They just keep coming. If this is the wrong place please let me know.

    I will answer these questions in order. If I don't know the answer, I'll just write I don't know. I am going to try not to spoil anything, by the way, so I shan't use anything too specific.




    Do I NEED to finish the SP? Is that integrated into the MP side for accounts or something? No, but it is recommended so that you know what's going on.




    Are the 'Quest/Missions' (ie. Hypergate kills you in 20K within Omega 3 unless you finish GMG Quest)


    Are these in MP or SP? Both. You can do the missions in either, but in MP, you can ask for help.


    Where do I find them to do them? Check news in bars.




    If you want to play a Coalition Civilian character
    How do I get to the Coalition territory? Follow CF storyline. However, the way MP RP works, you don't get the option to play as part of an NPC faction.


    Do I have to be a member of a Faction? Nope.




    Exploration and Adventuring.


    I'm bound to enter parts unknown currently that will have faction 'ownership' I have read thru the system rules, but don't have them memorized. Much less know them well enough at this point to even really remember who is who much less if I've entered their ZoI


    If I pass thru and nobody is on the server from that group and then go back thru later and someone is on, hails me from systems away about local taxes,


    Are said taxes per passing, day? Two hours limitation on taxes.


    If they don't come to me in space to get said taxes, do I bother to pay? If so, how? Your discretion, just keep it in RP. You can refuse to pay taxes to someone if you choose, but this is not without its own repercussions. Clans are not gods.


    If I don't pay taxes, nor plan to dock and explain this, should I expect different responses from each group? Or is there a fairly standard 'Toll Charge' to be expected? See previous answer.




    Money and Transfers


    I'm not rich, yet, but I have saved a few bucks and want to make a fighter. I can rarely find anyone when I am on (-7 GMT; Late Nights) that is nearby, much less able to help out the few times I've actually asked. I am actually an hour ahead of you along with half my clan. Hail anyone with a clan tag and they'll be more than happy to help usually.

    How many people that fly actually come here? (do we know?) Not sure.




    I understad that OP-R8R keeps the story going along its line, not necessarily along the players' RP. I( like that, it makes it feel more realistic to me. I know a couple people in politics, doesn't mean my opinion will change life for all. We are just people in the world.)


    How do the player factions play into the overall story? If at all? Clans and factions create their own RPs to interact with the story and can become a part of it in MP, but they do not affect the written story.

    The Department of Operations in the Silver Arrows Command announced today that it would be adding a new, permenant member of staff to their ranks. Following the recent, supposed, death of Admiral Arkane, Captain Connor "Seqan" O'Neill was promoted to the rank of Director in the Department. After about another week of silence from the department and some changes to the Silver Arrows wing roster, Captain O'Neill announced that he would be joined but one of the quieter individuals of the Silver Arrows.

    "Commander OE-254, better known as Loyal, shall be joining us as my personal assistant in the Department of Operations," Captain O'Neill said two days ago at the Silver Arrows daily gathering. "It is my belief and the Admiral's that Loyal has always been an invaluble asset and companion in our organization and that it is time to expand his responsibilites as he well deserves. It is about time he was brought in to our main staff as a Tactical Officer."

    When Captain O'Neill originally approached Admiral Thomas with the proposal of promoting Commander 254, he only received seven words as an answer "Oh, yes! I agree! Go for it!" It is obvious that Admiral Thomas also has plans for Commander 254, but these suspicions and speculations are unconfirmed.

    Even though Commander 254 is an android, it would seem that the Silver Arrows trust him as they would trust another human. To this reporter, it is not terribly surprising considering some of the other non-humans that work for the Silver Arrows.

    Captain O'Neill also announced that "Loyal has the utmost authority on things regarding the Department of Operations when I am not around."

    I personally think it might be cool to have other players on there so it could be easier to coordinate scenes and what-not.

  • Problem starting FL with crossfire

    I had the same problem. You have an extra level of directories in your mod manager. In the mods folder of FLMM, it should be Crossfire182 or something, then the directories of EXE, DLLS, and DATA. If it has mods/Crossfire/EXE&DLLS&DATA or something of that nature, then it won't mod properly. There should only be one mods folder.

    Sounds like you're trying to apply Disco RP levels here. We don't have that kind of intricacy. In all honesty, the only NPCs that play any role at all are the Doms, ASF, and CSF. Our RP is player driven, it doesn't matter what the NPCs do or how they interact.


    And besides that, I can quote about 4861729 instances where OP has said he's not changing anything that already exists.
