Alright, so I'm slightly confused as to what I'm supposed to do. Since I have a shitty connection, the download has been going for almost two and half hours now, and I just checked out the forum and am confused as to whether I should use the 1.82 exe file or stick with my old install. I can do either as I haven't even got the 1.82 downloaded yet. What should I do?

So is this thing temporary or permanent?

Leaving the difficulty setting at a low setting will not affect multiplayer experience. All information on settings comes from OP's server so anything you do to that file will not change multiplayer. Even if (god-forbid) you modded CF for your own needs, which I wouldn't recommend because CF's awesome enough as is and you could really screw yourself over if you tried, you would still get most information from the server in MP so things would be by OP's standards, not your own.

Alright, I'll put both my bomber and Enjarius out of commission until the 1.82 patch. I hadn't read that information so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I would like to ask though, what patches is OP talking about?

I attempted to repurchase my Elder, and according to Murphy's law, the server accused me of cheating every time I tried to undock or disconnect. So I can't purchase a replacement Elder right now, and I have a feeling the server's gonna do the same thing to me if I try to purchase another Liberty Cruiser. Any suggestions?

I don't remember when I bought the Elder, but I got information from SA_FUD. He just got a Liberty Cruiser complete with the equipment I'm missing, so it must've either been server error or something along those lines. I'll just rebuy both ships.

I got on my Elder earlier today and its forward gun was missing too. I'm beginning to think that all built in equipment on ships that were in possession since last update has gone AWOL. Or did I do something to irritate OP?

Arrow: The latter is what I believe is correct. I don't usually use either of these characters much.

I got on my account the other day and noticed that both the forward cannon and shield generator on my Liberty Cruiser were gone. Is this a glitch or a new update that I haven't found out about? Do I just need to repurchase the cruiser? What's going on here?!
