well sov is large and the systems through which u have to travel to reach sov from anre also large but the largest is the sol system.

Even the distances between the centers of 2 adjacent blocks on the map is very large. Sol is the largest system around(as far as i know:D)

Windows7 is MUCH better than Windows Vista especially the Ultimate edition.

Well....i think u should play it in windows to be on the safe side.
Linux is good, yes.
A bit better than windows in many aspects,yes.
But games availabe for Linux, no.
