All of them haven't enough space for weight reducers, they are not really needed on them.
They all move like a "real" light fighter.

But keep in mind - LOW - for defence you have to rely on shields with them or better: KEEP MOVING !

Another drawback on them: they are SLOW, not faster than the rest of the bunch of VHF.

But they can be fun, IF you ... keep on moving ;-)) !

Thx Cygna, as long as it doesn't bother me INGAME
and too much afterwards, I will leave it as it is.

TBH, I'm just too lazy to go through ALL the installation process again
with all the tools 'n stuff for FL I have set up additionally.

But I will consider it. ... when time has come and is available.

    AHA !

So, does it "harm" the launcher or the CF-installation, if I shut it down manually (taskmanager)
AFTER the game's ended and returned to desktop, when it still is running ("iddling"?) ?

Never used anything else than FLMM1.31 (as always said to be required).

Sometimes it happens, that after a quick shutdown of FL/CF, even on the "regular" path,
that FL is still active, when I'm back to desktop.
After a while it "settles" - mostly with creating the additional "EXE2" folder.

But not if this cfwd.exe is also running.

I've got a question about a program, or more precicely an .exe, that seems to be part of the Crossfire-mod:
    cfwd.exe
Almost every time the game chrashes, for several reasons (loss of server connection, program exit due to "getting stuck" :whistling: )
there is STILL a lot of cpu activity after returning to desktop. ... Beside an "EXE2" folder, that has been created in the Freelancer directory.
(and that I deliberatly erase, as soo as I find it.)

And it's - in a way - sometimes blocking my windows at all:
on trying to restart or shut down the above mentioned program can't be closed by windows, even blocking teh shutdown of other programs.
Only after deactivating it in the taskmanager windows can preceed.

Therefore I'm curious what "cfwd.exe" is for, what it's doing on my pc and how I can avoid the above mentioned in furture.

Oh, for info: I'm still running good old XP (the windows OS not the smiley ^^ )

Arena: bc it is OORP system, I suggest link this one with JH again to X-3043. If you link it with other systems, trader can use way through Arena and this isn't imo best idea.

    Hmmmm, didn't think about that.

Then perhaps somethinf via Freeport 7, due to the heavy nomad activity there not very "comfortable" there :D ,
despite any reputation hacks to pirate forces elsewhere.

OR adding some nomad or DK (?) activity in another "connecting" system ?
(just a thought, dunno if compatible with what ever story you come up with for CF 2.0)

Thx Whiskey, I never considered THIS one
... I mean your ship proposal.

Your other offer of solution ....I would probably have to thank you properly :vinsent:

I haven't maped all of Antares sector yet :arghs:
But I wonder, if the coalition Gunboats ( Anatov, Yao, Kurgan )are - somewhere - purchasable. :?:

I loved them already at Starlancer times, esp. the kurgan just looks great 8).

I don't wanna know where (Ican find out myself), only if I can buy them at all.
(I might remember, they were in an earlier CF - but correct me, if I'm wrong.)

As on the CF2.0 todo list it is planned to add jumpholes between the systems connected to x-3043. In other words there will be backdoor entries to these systems which clearly would make the system more interesting and more realistic.

That's a just a GREAT idea for improvement.

Objective is to connect each of the systems with at least one other system.
Connection to vanilla systems are not wanted due to story reasons.
A connection to arena or cube arena is a must to allow people to leave the system even if we have campers in x-3043.

Well, as proposed, there is still the bottleneck X-3034, since all the backdoors lead - in loops - back to X-3034, there is no way around it,
...beside Purian Lake with its connection to rheinland space via Freeport 7 > Quantos > Frankfurt.
For a "true backdoor" from arena perhaps an additional connection Enigma - Quantos (would make also sense for the Corsair-npcs there) or Alaska
Another one, based on your proposal, perhaps Helios - Nephele, then Inner Cloud > Corridor > New London.

... but i have no problem with adding further jumpholes.

Then I would like to propose a connection of Sea of Shadows and Oasis to "new" systems leading to bretonia space, due to their "story" in the infocards,
perhaps to Inner Cloud and Hyperion ?

    Just my 2 cents.
