Our previous discussions were very helpful. and successful. The most important card to play in the Inner Core is experience: in combat & evasion, and knowledge of each hostile system, where to find cover and where the jumpholes are. It takes a great amount of patience at first to overcome the stacked odds against you. But persistence is vital for success. I relied on evasion as a important tactic in surviving the IC systems originally, and it is still a part of my combat tactics.

Brett keep trying and when you finally kill one of those bastards, you will have conquered the most difficult part of this great mod.

Check the router? check device manager for any conflicts when your wlan button disappears again.

check all your wireless config settings and do a repair and check the event viewer for issues.

Spiky, you need to diagnosis the problem by eliminating known problems and solutions, until you can narrow down the specific issue.

Software first, then hardware checks. good luck

CF has a lot of female fighters, so be careful when making any gender based comments.

I would love to see one day in CF a female only clan, kinda like the Golden C's.

Random...you're only goal is to make it to Weth (safe haven)...

It took me the first time a very long frustrating chunk of time, but you realize going thru the Inner Core that this is why CF is not just any mod.

Techniques on evading these hostile aliens is of upmost priority, and in itself requires a pilot with good skill.

Use Weth as your base of operations, then go back into Ryssk to try your luck . Good luck

Have you tried turning off your AV program before un/reinstalling everything.

Just a suggestion, and it sounds like a file is not being uninstalled properly

so reboot a couple of times after uninstall and check again for any leftover files.

You may have a broken download so maybe try redownloading CF.

It took me a while to master these guys, and the more you fight them the better you get.

But I do sympathize with your frustration level, I have the same frustration with the Inner Core aliens, but I refuse to give up!

The changes are really good Op, especially the Nav Map colors.

The info card bug when you click on Custodian in the show universe mode in the Nav map still exists.

Fuffud and Top Gear, I have a torrent FL copy and the original disk, and I use the torrent on my hard drive as my main installation.

You do need to get the no-CD FL exe file in order to play without your FL CD.

I would suggest running your Freelancer game first to see if it works without any mods activated.
If it works then delete your saved games folder (My Games\Microsoft\Freelancer\Accts\Single Player) and run FLMM and activate CrossFire mod.

I know how frustrating this can be but you can't give up, this mod is worth it. Post a step at a time so we can see how you are doing and offer help.

P.S. Turn off your AV program when you do all this, because it interferes with everything you do believe me.

The Ancients also attack in groups of 3 or larger, so pick one and concentrate on only one at a time.

When they appear on your scanner, I sometimes head back to the GMG base and hover around that, this seems to stop them temporarily from attacking and sometimes this spits up the threesome so I can attack one of them at a time.

You most definitely need a fast ship in order to stay moving and try to keep your distance. Missiles work but only up close...dangerous because their guns can knock out your shield with a few shots. Good Luck.
