I tested the Bret Destroyer and Liberty cruiser in Open SP, i had also a crash with undocking with Bretinoa, and with Liberty the turret camera seemed to be inside the ship, and there was a problem with undocking, thought it was getting stuck inside the tiny docking bay till i bounced out.

Turret on 'Nike' doesnt move. It only fires to the rear right hand side of the ship, about a 45 degree arc. Im selling it again now.

Sold Nike to Buy 'Whirlwind'. When you buy it you get a class 8 sheild fitted even tho it says you can only fit class 7 max. Will try a Class 10 sheild on it next. Can also use the Sheild Gen.

Sold this for a Cheetah, this also has the same problem as the Whirlwind with the sheilds.

Sold this for the Dissolver, this ship has same problem again, sheild is supposed to be class 5 you get a class 8 installed when you buy.

Sold this for a Zorro, also same problem as above with Sheild.

Personally i think these ships need a class 9 shield anyway. I know for sure i will not be using them.

i found a lot of weapons and ships with the same coding in. in fact these may very well be the memory leaks, if text loaded runs past the size of the memory allocation for the block. no doubt these text fields are loaded for all objects in a system when you enter and join the server and undock. so this may well be it. it would make sense to me.

it would help if everyone on the server doesnt keep going into sol at the same time, i counted 4 at this last crash, and its not coming back up, come on guys, 1 at a time, be reasonable to others.

I will be there to test, i hope your eyes can handle checking the last 600 files, thats a lot of checking. Thanks.

firstly check the driver software isnt causing the problem by starting windows in safe mode, this wont load any graphics card drivers except the standard universal VGA drivers that come from Microsoft. If there is a problem running windows, then it is a hardware fault, or power supply issue, possibly your PSU, or with your power supply to you house/flat.

Secondly, you could see if you have an old graphics card handy, and plug that in, and see if it changes things. luckily as CF runs on old cards, should be fine.

did the monitor shutdown BEFORE the pc had shutdown completely? if yes then its likely its graphics card losing power completely. My PC actually hard resetted itself and rebooted the same split second the weird line flashed up. Its a possibility it could be a Power supply issue with me, or just power fluctuation problems in my local area (we do have small powercuts in my area frequently)

I had a very similar problem with my pc, it rebooted itself, about every 2 -5 minutes, and just before doing so, it looked as if the Video output from the graphics card had frozen. sometimes i would get freaky lines appaer for a split second before the screen went black.

I decided to re-install Windows doing a full HD Format, and removing the PC battery and RAM when shutdown, to destroy possibility of any software or harware based virus.

When i got everything installed again, the problem was still there. But wasnt happenening quite as frequently. I carried on using the pc, not knowing what else i could do to pinpoint the problem, i had tried running windows in safe mode, but even then it crashed time and time again. so i gave up on it being driver related.

Then, totally out of the blue the crashing stopped. pc now working perfect again.

As you can tell, i'm a biking nut, and i love the music in these awesome vids!

With any luck that will not happen here, at least not with LP for sure. We give a 2 hour breathing space after every tax/kill. (unless provoked again with insults etc by the person who got taxed/killed, which funnily enough happens very often)

Thanks Lone, understand your frustration i've seen first hand the gung ho attitude of some pirates, please persevere with fines mate, it wont be long before you find pirates that will pay if you trap them Especially at the moment as many have no fighter/substandard fighter or even flying around in freighters

Personally i welcome back [CFPD] and i hope we can make excellent RP together, better than ever in 1.8.

And i wish the best for BG to have a strong presence with many trains for me to blow up [8]

Just to add to that The Police i blew up yesterday were were trading BMG. I dont think they deserved to be taxed so i just KOS'd. However i did try taxing a copper in Dresden, who was not trading BMGs. He was unwilling to pay so he exploded, and now has a vendetta against me. Oh come on, stop the insults and play the game. Its not my fault if Police cant take a loss on the chin, and be a man.

Well, for the reasons I stated above, that would just put you guys at an advantage. Because no one trades with fighters, and no one wants to defend, because they are too afraid to lose their cargo.

Actually i have paid every single fine that the Police have asked for. It just so happens that only 1 Policeman has ever asked me to pay a fine. On 2 Occasions. And after i paid the fine, he then blew me up. Which is a against server rules, but then, being a Server Police that was OK i was told so i made no big deal about it. I dont forget things like that tho. They change they way you look at the rules and how they apply.

The Only fine i didnt pay was from BG Military who wanted me to pay a fine of 200 Million, which is also breaking Server RP rules.

If others do not behave ridiculous, then you will find the RP works, and you will find more pirates willing to pay fines (if theyre ever caught) and as for police not catching Pirates, im not making fun here, but i've never seen Police actually doing what pirates do sitting waiting and disrupting trade lanes to actually catch us. No offence but Pirates do this all the time and we have ways of trapping people into paying or fighting. Also, only 2 days ago i taxed people using an APC with only 2 guns on! and they payed!.

When you play as a Pirate, the server rules only apply to you, and not to annyone that wants to attack you. This is the so called balance of the server. Try being a pirate and you to will see all this happening before your very eyes, the hate from people, and complete disregard for server rules. I wouldnt say LP are squeeky clean with regards to upholding these rules, but given the amount of trouble we suffer from other people doing it, i would say we have done a good job of doing our best to play fair with people.
