Those loans are for anyone Just contact me in game on any character. My bank sits in Manhatan and gives out no interest loans free of charge. Pay the loan back whenever you get the chance, (if its not paid back within 6 months and i havent forgotten abt it i may send mercs after you). If you want to tip something extra, it is your choice. The bank was established mainly to get peoples trains up and running so they would have a good source of income.

The advantage of the extra characters is that 1: I can and do run convoys out of Manhatan. 2: I can and do station fighters in multiple systems to assist freelancers against pirates. It takes less time to switch chars than to fly where needed. 3: I can actually fly 2 fighters, formed up with double the firepower for a deadly combination, as Creightin found out, lol.

My bank is that way because I transfer credits from my freighters to him for the express pupose of loaning funds to others. Thats why you do not see either of my frieghters on that list, and why my bank has not that many hours logged. Their funds go into the bank as soon as they make them. As for the rest of CFPD, Creightin and i were competing a bit to see who could have the most credits. We each run at least 8 chars and he used to be online a lot more than me so he had the time to get the creds. And it is not upsetting at all. I do not mind explaining.

Mercs are for hire, they can do as you wish provoding you are willing to negotiate a price. CFPD handle complaints against pirates without the addition of money. The problem there is, you get what you pay for. CFPD will handle complaints but it will have to be on their time. A Merc gets paid to do a job so they go do it.

At this time i still have not recieved one complaint in game of a pirate encounter. If i do i will definately investigate (a merc can just go kill'em).

privateer: Other programs should never be running while playing CF. I know that if Gunny catches someone doing this he will ban them faster than you can say lag.

no prob OP, had i started the checkpoint i would have dropped the ASF license in favor of a police license. You do bring up a good point though.

In a checkpoint situation the cops could let those with no license go and those that actually wanted to RP could try running with escorts with a license.

Police are not THE law, they enforce THE law for the good of the community. We do not tax or repeatedly kill others for no reason. We give the person breaking the law a chance to give up not just blast ehm out of the friggin sky without warning.

Inferno you give decent officers a very bad name. And if the true Arthur ever heard what you were posting, he would wake from his grave, come over and kick the living shite out of you. Knights are held to the highest of all honor. They are supposed to be above reproach. You have a ways to go yet friend. Lancelot, as Arthurs right hand man you need to be talking sense into him. Hell find a Merlin who could always beat Arthur soundly until he saw reason.

Well i only understand about half of what you just said but i will say this. This is exactly why the BMCheckpoint will never happen. Because someone takes a decent idea and warps the hell out of it to fit there own agenda.

So here we are again, no checkpoint will be going up. I am done trying to make that run interesting i will just run around and blow up krt since i already said anyone other than CFPD trying to stop BMG will be considered pirate and dealt with.

BG is military so they can do what they need to.

I would love to put the "Blackmarket checkpoint" back up but can only do so if some things are met first.

1. Approval from the commander of CFPD, Gunny. (This is first and foremost) (complete)

2. The only train checkers in Dublin would be the CFPD on duty at the "Blackmarket checkpoint". (Anyone other than CFPD enforcing anything on a cargo vessel in Dublin would be branded pirate and dealt with by the cargo ships escort or by CFPD)

3. If possible a system wide message would be sent out when the "Blackmarket checkpoint" goes active for the night and when it shuts down for the night. (This also includes a message going out to cargo ships entering the Dublin system letting them know that the "Blackmarket checkpoint" is up. Giving them time to call for "blockade runners" should they wish to smuggle BMG through.

4. Acceptance from all involved that if they are caught without Blockade runners they can either drop their 25 mill worth of cargo or be blown up if they try to run. (It would be the responsibility of the CFPD officer on duty at the gate to warn freelancers that do not frequent this forum of the impending action. Likewise mercs could "advertise" services just inside the Dublin system or in any system on the route. (Pirates, you are on your own but I know you guys can think of something I have not thought of.)

5. At the first hint of anyone getting pissed off by this, the "Blackmarket checkpoint" is gone for good. (This is meant to add something to the game not make people mad. I will stand down on the word of my commander or of any server police or by word of any of OP's Characters. So if you have a complaint you have many options and plenty of people to take it to.)

6. CFPD will be advised that if an escort is with the cargo ship, that is the first target, not the cargo ship. If the escort is eliminated then the frieghter that is running may be attacked if they have not stopped and dropped cargo. (This applies only in Dublin, if the cargo ship makes it through the gate they will be considered escaped with NO repercussion until they try to bring BMG through again.)

7. Escort prices need to remain reasonable. I know the run to Sol is worth around 50 mil, that does not mean an escort should charge 25 mil to get a gargo ship through. I will not set prices as that will be up for the mercs for hire.

I was around while this was going on. I heard that a Shroud had been taken without permission. There were 3 CFPD members around X at the time, myself, REAPER, and Gunny. He was also told to sell the ship immediately. He went to Alaska instead. He then argued with Gunny, (big mistake). He did sell the shroud while being escorted by REAPER.

1. Sorry Ekard, most of CFPD comes on late in the afternoon or evening hours so if you were waiting all day that is why.

2. There is no hard feelings against you, Gunny shoots down all of those that take a shroud.

3. Plenty have been shot down just as you were, please dont take it as CFPD has anything against you.

4. Don't give up over one mistake, lots of others have made the same and stayed with CF and have lots of fun.

5. Grab an angelwing, almost as good as the shroud. I cant tell you what system in here but find me online and I will show you.

CFPD will find him also and "Question" him. Once he is found we may hold him where he is docked indefinately

Unfortunatly this officer likes to stir things up. The problem is that if i stir things up too much I may be out of a job, and i do enjoy being CFPD. Even if I dont get to do my job like i would like to.

Hey all, thanks for the support, there will be another time. For now i guess i will run "Patrols" through Dublin watching for those BMG headed to Sol. So if I am on and in Dublin you best have an escort before I find you.

Update: "Patrols" will not be enforced as long as the DomKavash are in the area. Once they are routed, "Patrols" will resume.

you have nothing to worry abt DarkStalker, there will be no actions. Ive pulled all my fighters out of Dublin. They wont be returning. All of you feel free to run whatever cargo you feel like through there, i will not stop you.

The idea for a "blockade" was so that "blockade runners" could be used. Guess i could have said a police checkpoint and people could hire "checkpoint runners"?

Anyway, i will not play politics. Blockade is gone.

I am pulling ALL my fighters back to Manhatan, except the one to protect Tarsus. The blockade is over before it began. I apologize to all for trying to make things interesting. Wont happen again.

The blockade is not there to piss ppl off so please do not take it that way. The posts immediately following the original post by me is what i hope to see happen. Mercs and blockade runners hired to increase the experience of the game. I say to all now that should a freighter come to hyperion with an escort blockade runner, i will be after the runner first, not the freighter. If the freighter gets into hyperion, he/she is free and clear until the next time they make the run carrying BMG.

To all: I personally will stop anyone carrying BMG to the hyperion gate, including fellow CFPD officers.

DarkStalker: I am not rying to step on CSF toes but as a CFPD officer i reserve the right to stop illegal cargo wherever i find it, per my job description.

LaserJet: Interesting is exactly what i am hoping for. The route back and forth to Sol is a great one but after the first 20 runs or so would you not like something to break up the monotony?

There are many extremely intelligent people here that will undoubtably find a way through the blockade. Call it part of the fun, i would.

All in all it is about keeping it interesting. That is all i am trying to do.
