singleplayer doesn't affect the mod, so yer u can go straight back to MP from SP

You shouldn't crash when u go online and Open-SP means no storyline

If Op allowed ppl to run LAN servers with crossfire, no one would go onto Crossfire server and it would be a waste of money

Bought FL about August 2004, had dial-up and was exploring vanilla ICECREAM. Downloaded small ship mods etc. then i found crossfire 1.4 and downloaded it(took 3hrs :D) i played CF in Single Player for about a week. Then in November(ish) got SDSL and i played CF ever since.

But now i make and test mods

heres a way to bypass the global server list:

Find you Freelancer shortcut on desktop,
Go onto Properties,
find the line: Target "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe"

Then change it to this...
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -s212.227.23.76:2302

When you want to go onto crossfire, you go onto LAN and 24/7 Crossfire is in that list, and it does the same as directip.hta

my oppinion this is better.

if u download the mod, its 182mb. When i used Dial-up (shivers at the word), i downloaded a 231mb file overnight!

So try that, it should be alright unless Op has got the upgrade working in the mean time.

canoso tells me the upgrade mod worked, he is sending u a report soon Op!

btw is the server upgraded from the server with P4 and 169 p/m
