Vardek: It was online in between without problems for quite some time... and is online now again. Something prevents server from a prober restart after crashing, as it seems. But I'm sure this will be sorted out, soon...

Not sure if I understand your question concerning "custom waypoints" correctly(?) You can click everywhere on the map and set a waypoint (or best path) to that point.
Edit: Ah - didn't know that it's impossible on active missions.. thx Martin for the insight!

BTW, gunboats ignore the player, fighters will try to attack you though.
My observation is that Wings with (at least) one GB in them ignore you completely, until the GB gets out of cruise by itself (e.g. at a gate). Only then the fighters of that wing start to attack.
When you CD the GB on it's way, you can shoot the fighters without reaction, they just try to cruise again. At least that was the case when I last visited IC. Can someone confirm that behaviour?

Chimera is agile, has a small hitbox and many slots... a nice PvE-Ship in Sirius. From Coalition, i like Saracen or Shamal, too.
And as Original wrote: Iguana is fun! although has nearly no slots, but really tiny ship.Edit: The difference in hull-strenght results in maybe 0.5sec longer survival against Aliens. It's much more important to not getting hit at all in the first place.
