Wow - another lecture from BG members on honour - even something OP himself you guys lost at one point and left your clan becasue of it.

Regarding all this - surely in a game - people log in and have fun and sometimes they will even do stuff that might not be honourable - because they can - and they cant in real life -

If you just want to have coffee and endless doughnuts - make it a cop only server - there you go - lots of honour and lots of fun doing pvp in Arena all day - maybe you guys can kill some pirate npcs.

If some guys on the server had any honour - you would take any defeats on the chin like a man and say gf afterwards - so what if you fight 1v10 - so what? isnt that even how some guys gain respect and honour by holding to their ideals and defending what must be defended?

Honour dont mean forcing your ideas on others but by sticking to your beliefs - that fact that some of you guys come and moan on the forums or online is quite pathetic - and it is only pathetic becasue you claim you have honour - but your moaning and groaning and your disrespectful comments give you away.

I think too many confuse honour with not losing - and I am afraid you are wrong - lose with dignity - gain some respect.

Just because people are here for 20 years dont mean they own the server and dont let them think they can go what they want and do what they want without risk.

We want new players coming in and doing new stuff and keeping us on our toes - and the most experienced players should be the ones with the highest standards and taking their lumps when they get it with good cheer and showing us all how to play, how to fight and how to lose.

So many ways to go with this one. How about this one?

    Definition Honour

Being crap at pvp, Losing a lot to cops, Following Cop orders. Unable to defend yourself but die a lot "honourably" to cops.

    Definition of Dishonour

    Killing Cops.

    Choose SWAT Grey (no background)

It was like the recent changes never happend and back to the good ol days of quick and efficient forum browsing and trolling.

    Hi mates

Can I request an equalities impact assessment be done on the new look?

I am having huge problems accessing this site - I do use IE though - is that the main problem?

Also note then as a international gaming forum where all sorts of people would want to access the forums - is there a way to make it more accessible?

I can make changes at home pc but at work I am stuck with IE.

My main problem is that I have been unable to read Lucy's (no doubt) highly entertaining posts on pirate beheviour and that is causing me sleepless nights as I cant bask in her brilliance.

    Thanks

EDIT - Ok - found the problem and fixed it - turn off background! in options - on to Lucy then!

I also sent you a pm mate - hopefully that will help.

Good luck and best wishes - hopefully you will make it out alive -

Remember to make a map or note about this area as you dont want to get stuck there again when you meet us online!

In the not so recent past - some mercs did not even give you a warning and sometimes you did not know there was a bounty on you..

Saying all that - it may not be bad idea to have a code of conduct for all the different roleplays.

My personal point of view is that a merc should give his target the option to run away - even if 5 mercs are coming together to kill the target -

And this simply means declaring your intentions on system chat when you enter a system or before you undock.

For some reason I find the quick switch, undock and kill not very satisfying and I remember more fondly the long chases and the hunts.

However - in return I would like the cops and pirates to do the same -

Pirates across the seven seas fly the Jolly Roger at half height in respect of the best pirate we ever did see.

One day I hope his undead body will arise from Davy Jones Locker to casue havoc amongst the land lubbers once again.

Priv - go if you want - but leave us those pirate wenches so we all remember you in fond lights.

Yeah - I read about it some days ago and was going to post - but I am glad you done the honours.

Can't explain it - but it does sort of make me sad.

At least she will have found some sort of immortality.

Pirate roleplay is not about making money - or obtaining taxes.

It is about making people nervous - especially established players and clans on the server.

It is about ensuring that the fat arrogant cops realise space is not safe.

It is about being free to do whatever you want (according to server rules) and driving the best roleplay on the server.

I wish it was not this way - but I am afraid it is.

And I wish you best luck.

The creator of this mod made the npcs a bit harder than the standard ones -

You will find as you explore and find better equipment and ships - the npcs will get easier - but always a challenge!

Just recently - CCP held the annual Alliance Tournament, this is clan pvp tournament where over three rounds - an EVE Champion is crowned!

64 Alliances applied to become overall and the first two rounds establish which 32 should pass into the 3rd knock out round.

Each type of ship in the universe is allocated a point, for example Battleships are worth 18 points, Cruisers 11 points and so on. What was interesting is that in some of the fights, clans used Haulers as part of their armada - which in CF terms would be a Train - I found this quite interesting.

The top 4 clans (semi finalists) will all receive prizes - the overall winner will attain 50 Billion ISK and unique ships.

I missed this last year - but took an interest this time around.

CCP organise a live TV Broadcast around the event where player representatives and programmers and developers can chat about EVE, explain basic concepts to newcommers and talk a bit about future plans.

This year, a clan called Pandemic Legion won (for the second time in a row) and some famous (or infamous) clans like Band of Brothers (now known as KenZoku) and GoonSwarm got knocked out in the process.

There are some rules regarding ships and fittings but there is a lot of leeway and flexibility for Field Commanders to show what they and their clan can do.

Interestingly, PL lost their first match, but then spanked - and I could say murdered everyone else they met on the way.

They also fielded five Stealth Bombers (worth 6 points) in at least two matches - these are very light ships - almost light fighters in CF terms, which are very speedy but pack a huge punch when combined together - a tactic that no one else realised.

The fights are limited to 15mins per match and if ships from both clans are still on the field at the end - a points based calculation is involved.

Videos and results of the earlier matches can also be found here and I am assuming the later matches will be uploaded later.
