The new look

why must you use IE? the only reason I have to use IE is to upload documents on my uni page and thats already annoying

Me? I did not say I must use IE. I did say for those who must use it. That does not necessarily include me. I only use IE to test the look of some web apps on it, because about 40% of the people out there use IE and half of them not nearly the newest version. That's what makes things complicated.

problem is that IE6 and IE8 use different comment settings which is reason for some problems that appear on this site atm

ive spent 6 hours last evening to find a possible solution without luck... i guess there is no real solution available (not even with java scripts).
but i guess i know a way to fix some issues using a "bypass"

still i dont understand why IE should be slower now
The new style has been tested with opera, firefox, ie6 and ie8. I didnt experience something like that.

I found that problem interesting given that the time it takes for me to load a page has nearly been cut in half. O.o

I love the new look it kicks ass. So does Internet Explorer

Hi mates

Can I request an equalities impact assessment be done on the new look?

I am having huge problems accessing this site - I do use IE though - is that the main problem?

Also note then as a international gaming forum where all sorts of people would want to access the forums - is there a way to make it more accessible?

I can make changes at home pc but at work I am stuck with IE.

My main problem is that I have been unable to read Lucy's (no doubt) highly entertaining posts on pirate beheviour and that is causing me sleepless nights as I cant bask in her brilliance.

EDIT - Ok - found the problem and fixed it - turn off background! in options - on to Lucy then!

Yeah I too preferred the flashlight over the "new" image, cos it was much easier to see And maybe you could change the posting-form-message-box-thing's font back to something... dunno, maybe a sans-serif font (like the one that's used for the posts themselves), but IMHO anything is better than Courier, especially if you want to write long pieces of text :-/

Choose SWAT Grey (no background)

It was like the recent changes never happend and back to the good ol days of quick and efficient forum browsing and trolling.

either that or you use any of the other styles (dark grey was the previous standard)
and there is a style selector on the bottom of EVERY forum site

however - the old styles wont get supported/fixed/updated anymore
I also have to use IE at work (IE6) and I have a PC running IE8 on my office at home and both just work fine with the new style
