Having decided to finally go digital - I bought myself a whole lot of Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet CDs from HMV

Can anyone suggest how I can rip these CDs into MP3 format so I can transfer them to my new fantastic mp3 player?

Any suggestions on a decent FREE CD rip thing to make those audio files into MP3?

Well - I dont know anything about this and this has nothing to do with me.

I understand Gunny's frustration here - but I repeat, choosing to take a system such as Sovets where some of the best ships and equip are - and the fact you need to pass through to get to other places - meant this would always happen - no one can be surprised.

Long ago we should have stopped fighting over who want into which system without permission, and just done rp -

It seems many of the incidents in CF are not rp related at all - it;s a shame.

Even forgetting all that - I have met Ryder Hook a few times since I been on CF - even in those IOC days and he always seemed to be one of the better guys on the server -

I always got a gf, a good conversation and good relations with him.

Apologies for attaching myself to madame Lucy's (evil swashbuckling pirate - boooooo!!) thread -

but recently I have tried to get online a few times - not least to pass back Dop's stored treasure - but once the launcher updates itself - and I try and launch the game - it just crashes.

The only thing I reckon I could have changed on my system since the last time I played was adjust some of my Trusted Sites thingy - does CF need to be included here? and if so - what address needs to be included?

Ah - looking back - lots and lots of great moments

The Sol blockade was fantastic and its a shame no one has quite matched it since -

Angmar showed me the way to the rift in Sol and when I jumped through - I remember thinking HUGE WOW when we got to the other side, where I first me this guy called "ooo" who sometime later tried to fix a rep problem in Dublin by killing loads of nps and the whole screen was literally white all over, like it was snowing in space with all the pods he killed.

Flying the Predator for the first time - thinking WOW -

Getting in and out of Hiruga on my own - took me 2 hours,

A smuggler event where Dopple was 0.5 secs from docking and I just managed to kill him as he was docking in NB after hours and hours of fun

Killing Gunny as he tried to intercept some smuggers going to SOS with BMG - telling him afterwards he didnt have permission to enter Colorado.

A lot of the ASF/CSF stuff when taking part was more important than winning.

I am not a very good IT technician and I have poor eyesight - i really dont understand how it is possible to tell if someone is cheating considering all the variables - just as CA said.

I would strongly recommend you say gf - no matter what happens in pvp and rp -

It's OPs business to sort out the cheaters (and integrity of the game) with help from SPs - our job is to enjoy the game.

Regarding what you said - I would suggest you talk to people as and when you need info or company - even talk to those people trying to kill you!!

If you are reasonably new here maybe you could outline the problems you faced in another thread - and also the adventures you enjoyed.

As I said many times before I dont know how you handled it (the crap) for so long, it would be nice if you could spend some leisure time (rare for some of us) just relaxing and enyoing stuff - you sure did put a lot of time and effort into this community and sometimes I failed to see what you actually got out of it.

Although I disagreed with your "sink or swim" style of roleplay at one time - looking back it was very educational.

I would repeat, in my opinion, you were the best roleplayer out there and the server was not the same when you were not around.
