...In regards to battleships - unsure. That would require some testing.
In regards to cruisers/destroyers and gunboats, this would have been of massive help. Now this is based purely on my opinion; and my piloting skills are below average and I lack much PvP experience, but so far all uses for these ships are extremely niche (I'm not sure if I can handle Outcasts in Omicron Alpha in these).
I'm also sure cruisers/destroyers could benefit if the range of their defense turrets was buffed. Either a considerable buff to range or a small buff to both range and rate of fire. Perhaps a strong buff to range on cruisers and moderate buffs to range and rate of fire to destroyers; for diversity. Such a buff IMO isn't as radical as a total rearmament of these ships, and could be relatively easy to implement (correct me if I'm wrong).
While the gunboats are likewise rather niche, I think they have something interesting going for them: buffed strafing speed. E.g. I have a Rheinland Gunboat in Hudson farming Rogues. Basically I pilot it like a fighter, except I strafe a lot.
I have a more radical idea that involves upgrades similar to the Battleship Upgrades (except more specifically related to the ships' weapons), but I think it might be very hard to implement, so I'll put it in the back of my mind for now.

Well, the release of a new installer has been discussed here, you just stumbled on this right after everything was more or less wrapped up.

Heh, Sympathy for the Devil reminds me of Call of Duty Black Ops.

I'm re-downloading the mod but the updated one and let's see if this one works better.
Again, keep in mind that you need a clean FL install for this one.

Actually "error server update" is not on your end. CF update server has been relocated recently and your old-issue launcher is attempting to contact the old location. Here's the fix:
if I had known it was going to cause such a headache I would have never attempted it.
And this is exactly why I haven't touched FLMM for about 2 years.

I think there's an option to somehow "clear" the installation for FLMM. Perhaps it's "restore backups". As in, delete everything except FLMM (I also don't think deleting FLMM itself was necessary), press "restore backups", dismiss the error message. Alternatively, delete and reinstall FL, use "switch FL directory" and switch to where you installed it.
Alternatively x2, install clean FL again and use the new installer that bypasses FLMM altogether:
P.S. I am not sure how all those FLMM commands are actually called since I haven't touched FLMM in about 2 years.
