i notice this becuase i was with a clan mate in DK space and when i ended up on the other system after i jumped... i got killed instantly...it took only 2 shoots for the DKs to finish me...it was as fast as the way the DK hyper gate used to kill.
Is it just me or the DKs are now overpowered

Unless I'm mistaken the DomKavash aren't really any different than they used to be. The fact that they dockrape has been always the case, and if you're attacked by enough of them at once while coming out of a gate you can die before even getting a chance to move. It didn't take two shots to kill you, but probably two shots from each of the ships firing at you
All around I think the gunboats and fighters are just the right difficulty and the cruisers and motherships not powerful enough with armaments. The trouble is the dockraping... it'd be nice if they weren't allowed to attack you before you have control of your ship.

actually what he is saying is right. i was with alucard when he got destroyed. he wasnt completely out of the gate be i saw his death across the server. bad part is i was right behind him when it happened and damn near got my own ass destroyed. frankly i think the DKs there are a little st powerful for their own good. i managed to get away only to later be destroyed by a DK heavy gunboat while in cruise. thing shot a few times as i tried to dodge it and then booooooooooooooooom. thanks for playing better luck next time.

i agree with dragonwarrior. i think that the DK ships need to be slowed down and not so fast so that ppl can actually shoot them adn that they cannot shoot ppl who r in cruise and even stay with them at high speed. i think in the last version the DK werent as fast but now the fighters r almost impossible to hit. i also died 3 times in DK space when i was spawning there, they killed me before i had control of my ship!

Is this happening a lot? I go to DK space all the time and I never die at the spawn points or have trouble hitting the fighters (er, except for when there's lag). I only get CD'd when I'm too busy chatting to evade them, and if one wiggles a bit you can evade their guns... Maybe this is a good thing though... didn't OP say traveling in DK space should be so hard so as to demand groups rather than individuals? If they really have gotten harder maybe it'll be good for gameplay

I dont have any problem killing them at all. Takes some work, but I get them.
Now I did get my ass-wiped a few times getting used to their pattern.

i and a fellow freelancer were exploring DK systems we had best equipment available usualy we were runnig from DKs. gunboats were easy but fighters were almost undefeatable we took a group of 4 medium fighters and ended at standoff neither we nor they were able to kill one. together we chased one enemy until got bored and managed to remove its half hulls amount.
we shood had to have beter suited weapons like shield killers like tizona.
but they are to tough to kill alone.
nomads are a joke compared to DKs. -
I have gone there in a Starflier and also having the same probelms still I made my way all the way to Spica till I was distracted by chatting to someone. I never have an escort. I used to use them in my old clan but my new clan's RP demands that I should be as good as a gropu of fighters or how am I going to help fellow freelancers against aliens if I cannot protect myself. :]
I saw a DK Mothership outside of Hyperspace. Is that a bug ? I thought DK Motherships are only in Hyperspace. I never had the time to shoot as it hit it's subspace drives and got away. I loved the design of the Mothership.
I hope you guys know that a Subspace Drive is different than Cruise Engines.

DK Motherships aren't only in Hyperspace, they cruise in some systems too....
btw. is it only me or DK doesn't chase you so long, are easer to dodge, and using less CD....
