I can sweep a field that large in MacMines in less than 10 minutes, but the Windows Minesweeper is a bit harder... I never caught on how you even play it

each number means that somewhere in that area of 8 squares there is that many mines. this is a game of probability and logic. with 8 being the highest number, that means u shouldnt click anywhere in that area. also, the larger the minefield, the easier it is.

LOL! I usually play a custom minefield, 24 x 32, with 150 mines. I don;t win nearly as often, but it's more satisfying when I do!
