I'm sorry if I'm breaking protocol here- as a newbie, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to start a new thread. Oh, well.
This is just to say thanks to whoever made the Crossfire mod- it's brought the game alive for me again.
I live in the West Coast of Scotland, and broadband ain't happening for us.
Even as an SP experience, though, Crossfire is immense.
The cruciform jumpgates at X-3043. Outcasts streaming through them. Real "C-beams glittering at the Tannhauser Gate" and "Attack-ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion". Immense.
And the Dimensional Rift? Fabulous.
Until I get broadband, I will have to wait to meet you all in space.
