With different types of ships that can be played, is there a button to have a better view around your ship?

For Fighters, cannons can just fire front, yes the 1 turret sometims can fire back (default key "v").

But with battleshits and freighters, is it possible to change view 90°? When entering combat, rotation rate is hell, enemies are most of the time in "dead angle of view" on the side. In theory, turrets can shoot at them but since they are not shown in display (because of limited view range to sides), it is impossible to hit them :-/

Any ideas on that?

Battleships works perfectly in turret mode, you may want to set some keys to be able fly your ship at the same time. For turret mode you can also use this ... I used it often for looking around: Features - SWAT Portal

How do I get into turret mode? My settings are not showing any keys I can bind to?

Should be "H" key, few more details here: help with controls [SOLVED]

Keys set I meant for turning your ship (battleship) ... in turret mode you use mouse for aim turrets, so keyboard keys for maintain turns and ideally speed too are needed. It may need some practice, but it really works very well.

You can see keys, when pressing F1-Options-Controls. Not only for looking even changing.

For some reason, I don't have that option to change the key. Was checking there.

Simply click on the key you you want to change, e.g. TurretView H. Click on the H then you will be asked if you wanna change, use any free key you want, When exit that menu you will be asked if you wanna keep your changes.
