    Really? I always thought that the individual lead to the many. Like the study of isolation.


    The study involved locking a single person in a isolated enviroment. That later spawned the isolated group study.

    It depends on how you want to look at it. If one were to believe that society is made of up of a bunch of individuals which define society then it would be, psychology begat sociology. If, however, one were to believe that society creates each individual and that those individuals are then influenced in all they do by that society, then sociology would begat psychology.


    i prefer to go with philosophy since it was invented wayyyyyy before the other two. I see lots of people on here that like philosophy. the Sun Tzu quote abound lol. Just about all of the members sigs have a form of philosophy in them. In fact you could say that psychology and sociology are just another philosophy that someone started. Even religion is a philosophy. The very basic definition of philosophy would be, a way of thinking. That just about covers everything.

    Lol, I am the one for philosophy too... pretty much... cause it thinks the universal and the particular, the historical and the ontological, the logos and the myth, the concept and the afecction ----> the individuals and the society


    IMO philosophy its not "a way of thinking". Phylosophy IS thinking/Denken


    Psychology, sociology, anthropology... welll... they try to construct an object out of the human being, and they will allways have problems with that... and thats very good :D

    Your right, Philosophy is the one that spawned it all. To prove a philosopy, one uses psychological or socialogical points as evidence. While we are on the subject of philosophy, which one does everyone believe?

    wavey plz, i prefer you when you talking bad of lawyers.. I'm almost getting sued by one of them because of an less than US$1.00 debt with eBay.


    I was going to sell a graphic card for somthing about US$25.00, but the card fried and i canceled the offer. But stupid eBay thinks i sold it, so it is charging me the comercial money :(

    Well, the lawyer is a tool for the Ebay corporation, so it is not his fault that they use him for such stupid means.
    (I understand that there are crappy lawyers in the world, but don't put ALL lawyers into a stupid stereotype)
