Isn't it this one: 87.106.22.90:2302 ?
Because I found thethe list of servers here and "24/7 SWAT Crossfire" server has other IP

With the 1.7 launcher, you only need to use the "LAN" option in the MP choice list.

Server been changed from quite some time now so it has a different address.

Gunny is right cause the launcher will add CF server to the list just like using direct connect so when Global Server is down that wont be a problem.

Since I've been playing CrossFire I've never been able to connect to the server for Mutiplayer gaming. I read Finisher's thread, and tried it, but didn't work.

Can someone help?

what is the error u get? is it just u do not see CF server in the list? can u start CF Multiplayer from the Launcher? does the Launcher title say its Version 1.56?

I have 1.7 installed and have been playing single player since. Nearly finished (just need to know where to sell the 3 black boxes to get Death Valley Cooridinates or whatever follows).

I see the server on the list but with the 87.106.22.90 Ip address. There it crashes whenever I launch it! (back to desktop). I managed to get in a couple of times but when I launch to space crashes to desktop again.

I read Finisher's and SlackerX's response to IP address change. But still the 87.106.22.90 address when I launch.

What is & where can I find patch 1.7a and does this fix this?

Or other fix which will work? editing a file, etc .

get the patch 1.7a here, but make sure u do a clean install (see instructions in my last post)

did u disable the 3D sound?

Yes sorry, 3D sound disabled

Clean install would mean losing all I did in SP though! Snif snif!

main reason for crashes when starting from a base:

not using Launcher Version 1.56 (check that again, please) and therefore different files on server and client...

move ur savegames directory to somewhere else, instead of deleting ...^^

when doing a clean install: remember to note ur MP-ID on a piece of paper. it is the key to ur player account on the server...

Thank you Hagar, It worked thought I did it a little different.

Installed 1.7a patch, copied my sp games elsewhere, started up CF & it downloaded new files.

I'm up and running on Server with no crashes so far. Again Thank you!
