thats excactly what I'm talking about in my thread named "hammerhead" just below yours, I did the same , same mod same loc, etc but help said to uninstall everything; game fl mod installer and reinstall everything????????????????, I've just lost the URL from this crossfire site and I was 43% through my download, well I'ts 1230am here and I've started again at the lancer site that u mentioned my fuse is getting very bloody thin with this mod [3]

You need at the moment the version 1.61 download this from the main homepage or from here http://www.swat-portal.de/down…sfire1.61client.zip.flmod

We are using 1.61, and if that doesn't work then that means OP is testing 1.62 on the server.

I also am new to crossfire. I have dl'ed previous versions and have been impressed thus far by the level of detail and work that has gone into this project. Though I have not had much spare time to explore the mods in full as much as I would like before a new version came out, I still enjoyed playing single player.

However, the only version I have been able to obtain today is 1.6 for Lancers. I would like to get 1.61, but due to yesterdays debacle(I assume the server was overloaded??) the link has been severed. I have been interested in getting online, I have explored a few elements on the forum, and thus far I am even more impressed by the elements that can be found on the game. I am the type of person who likes to research my stuff before going headlong into it, so even though I might know where the stuff is, I still like to go and see it for myself. However, SP only goes so far in my opinion. I would like to be able to hook up with someone on multiplayer and have a bit of fun with someone else at the same time....

So basicly, short and simple....is there another link(aside from the one that Antybite provided - which does not work...) or someone that I could obtain 1.61 from?

uh.... OP, i may be able to help the download if u want me to... i have a webspace of 20GB, unlimited traffic, hosted on streamline.net (UK hosting) it will be alive for at least next 2 years (cuz i cant cancel the contract)

about its quality, well it used to have negative feedback in the past, but i can see its changing. my friends downloaded stuff from my website b4 and they said its xtremly fast... but its not yet tested against a load testin... and uploading wont be a prob cuz i can go to uni and they have 100mb connection.

im thinking if it would be any help, at least for this temporary period... but of course, with your permission. if u think its ok then i ll do it today, 29th apr; if u think its totally impossible then i apologize for my stupidity.
