Events

Just need the miner and the prize money for it. Rules are the same than the one posted on CF. We have 2 managers:

1.- Petrus (if he still interested)
2.- RG

Only difference is that we count fighters kills this time. Points are layout as follow:

1.- Enemy roid miner kill = 5 points
2.- Enemy fighters kill = 1 point

We also were talking that would be good to have a backup miner for each event miner. If this is accepted we will start to screen application for the backup job.

My new event is good to go just need prize money and is it possible that if i created a thread and it was locked that i would be able to edit it for the league tables?

@ Lashan: thx 4 taking over running those 2 events. I didn`t ask u to do that, so u`ll get a small gift from me (that`s of course - as soon as i`ll get it by myself... )

Are the events open for all users to make. If i am aloud to make one let me know in a post please.

with the lag reduction working so well (nice work Op) i have noticed that the npc's and other thing disapear as more ppl get on-line.

how will this work for the nomad gun hunt if there are lots of ppl on will there be any nomads?

Hello Everyone,

In order to get a full report from each event and their respective event managers I suggest to have a meeting by tomorrow 8pm GMT or best time suit for all event managers. The meeting could be in the swat-portal irc. where we will discuss as follow:

1.- Events to be held in the week days and weekends
2.- Responsabilities for each event (Event Managers)
3.- Layout set of rules for each event
4.- Put all the info toguether to write a final report to hand in to OP

If everyone agrees to the meting and find a suitable time for it I can take the responsability to write the final report after the meeting and hand in to OP

So, please old/new event managers reply here to see if the meeting on wednessday 12/04/06 at 8pm GMT is ok for you.

I hope we could get all event managers to the meeting. Remember if that time doesnt fit your schedule we could adjust the time to try to fit everyones schedules. I know it is difficult to set a meeting for weekdays but since we have until friday to hand in a full report, it would be a good idea to have it today wednessday around 8pm GMT. I want to thanks in advance Jtak & Ddarkstalker to come forward already and I hope more woul get involved.

On another issue, to connect to the swat-portal IRC could be done in 2 ways:

1.- Already explained by grinder in this post:

2.- You could also use the IRC in BG page. You get here:

And after that, click on the CHAT icon on the left side, From there, input your nickname and after that type /join #swat-portal

Be sure to have you video resolution at 1024x768 or your screen will be chopped and You may also need Java script which it wil be asked automaticly so just need to say yes.

Anyway, it would be a good way to get in. I will wait for more to post here to get involved in the events again.
