    well...after the "Halo beater" hype i was expecting something pretty spectacular, but now ive played the demo and im not that impressed. AI is good...as long as the enemies r inside firing range, but thats THEIR firing range. if they cant hit u they seem pretty dumb. i have taken out whole patrols with a sniper rifle, and after hitting one the rest just continue to walk in a straight line, making it very easy to kill them. surely a game which is sposed to have good AI should make the opponents clever enuff to run away when their friends start randomly dying ;)


    anyway...the point of this post is...do any of u have or have any of u played the full game, and if so wat did u think about it? is it worth me going and spending my hard earned student loan on it (;)) or should i just settle for halo/hl2 instead?

    i played the demo, too. that thing with the AI is correct... dumb targets ;P well, made it easier to accomplish the mission =P


    but i think the ai is may be not so important cos we wanna play in Multiplayer... but the physics (movement, weaponry) and the graphic is very nice.


    btw... those breed-drones make me think this game has been censored o_O, damn.. shouldnt have played the german version of Half Life so much... o_O

    I dont play much fps but i can really recommend UT2k3 and soon UT2k4 (havent tried 2k4 but by all accounts that is going to be better). Best action-fps ive ever played. Not purely onlinebased but thats the reason why i play it.

    singleplayer has its benefits(good for training), and you dont wanna face a dumb ai. lol you kill one of them and they keep moving in line, i wouldnt do that....

    @ tulkas...OMG!! u r SOOOO wrong! UT2k3 is one of the biggest let downs EVER!! its so totally crap.


    the ORIGINAL UT is the greatest FPS imho...2k3 however has basically done away with everything that made UT a good game in the name of shiny graphics X(
    they took out the ripper, they took out domination (the best game from ut...DD is just crap) they took out the SNIPER RIFLE!! wat kinda game has a "lightning gun" (piece of shit) instead of a sniper rifle.
    Just about the only thing i DO like from that game is MP bombing run, otherwise its a crap game not worthy of the unreal tournament name. 2k4 had better be something amazing that goes back to the original values of UT, or else all they r doin is trying to make money fast by making crap games over and over (see the EA FIFA series...altho to be fair to EA they at least appear to be making some efforts to improve the gameplay)

    and i cant hit with that shit lightning gun o_O. that rail confuses me... and the sniper mode, that pseudo-monitor.. with those stripes.... i see shit with that... good aim is impossible o_O


    a real sniper rifle or a railgun would be better


    some levels are too big, like tokara forrest... enemies are smaller than the crosshair O_o



    and the graphics irritate me too... i dont see the enemies as good as i did in UT... to much details...


    its not a bad game, but UT was better... the Bombing run is only possible with human players... the bots are dumb shit... no teamwork


    may be 2k4 is getting better, saw a vid about it. no bad idea with the vehicles ( i remember C&C renegade, when i see that :P ), but i dont think that there is some more innovation.... and when u think about the fact that they wanna release every year a another sequel of it,UT will be dead. they do the same shit with UT like Eidos did with Tomb Raider. or think about the FIFA-games... who the fuck needs every year a new lod game o_O do anyone of u know somebody who has all FIFA games? why do they dont prog some update, like new planes for Combat Fligh Simulator or something and i dont think that would be a problem for the UT-programmers. UT could live longer if they make updates for 2003 to 2004.
    its an online game ether, so everybody who plays it can download the new mods vehicles etc. its the same with the maps today for Q3, UT, and CS. but no.. they sell a complete new game, with the idea that everybody who has 2003, will buy 2004, too. i hope they sell shit... the idea of UT is to good to go down like this...

    deusEx is one of the best fps/rpg games, and invisile war will surely hold up to that title. the lights and sound effects are simply fantastic, improved ai for bots and other stuff and multiple endings. what do you want more from a game


    yes, Deus Ex IS the greatest. sadly wat i heard about invisible war suggests that they r screwing around with a great design...taking out skills for more nanos, and generally making it more FPS-like...this would not be a good thing imho. hopefully the delay of the release date yet again means they have come to their senses somewhat, and are busy restoring the old values (pls pls pls)

    yeah the skills removing system aint good, also i liked better the old menu system design. it has many new bioenhancments tough and you can also remove then one you had them installed, which the first game didnt have. you could only remove them with the use of cheats


    they are going to make the skills into different augs i last heard


    well whatever they do it will still be one of the best games ever of all time

    well, i "obtained" it yesterday...one day b4 uk release ;)
    and its goooooooood :D seems to me much better than the breed demo at least

    have now completed halo (3 days gametime only :()
    its a fairly good game, but theres a large part in the middle that is rather repetitive and at times it becomes more of a "Run like hell" game than a FPS lol. Anyway...would love to try it multiplayer but still no luck in that direction :'(
    I think all in all this is *probably* the best story driven FPS ive played (notice this doesnt include UT or Deus Ex (which i dont consider to be a FPS)) but i still dont think it lives up to the hype


    PS if i hear the words "Hahaha, I am a genius" one more time i think im gonna scream!
