  • Depending on the soundtracks ;p

This song is really addictive, lol

  • Speaking of songs that are really addictive...

I've really, REALLY gotta replay Clear Sky one of those days.

"Across the savage skies and through the fissures in the fields,
The rumble of the engines and the trundle of the wheels,
Through hell and horror trudge and yet their spirits never yield.
Will they sing of these forsaken pawns of war?"
-Miracle Of Sound, "Pawns of War".

  • Damn... haven't heard/seen STALKER in a while ;)

A different taste... you can never go with the 'chill' mood ^ ^

  • One more thing reminded by S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Basically, it was one time I started a new game of Call of Pripyat and headed to Lumber Mill on Zaton right after getting my footing straight. I knew there was a hideout somewhere around there, so I had this on as I searched for the SVD leaned at one of the trees to the north of Lumber Mill.

Might also fit to the Clear Sky beginning... after all, the main character had a VSS in the starting cutscene and it's gone after he wakes up, and you actually can find "your" lost rifle in that area. Unfortunately, getting lost hasn't done it any favor (as in, it's fully wrecked and you'll have to cough up a hefty sum of R to fix it) and a steady supply of 9x39 mm rounds is not in sight yet (well, the mod I have has rare instance of Bandits and perhaps Renegades armed with SR-3s which use 9x39 mm), but the sheer sentimental value...

"Across the savage skies and through the fissures in the fields,
The rumble of the engines and the trundle of the wheels,
Through hell and horror trudge and yet their spirits never yield.
Will they sing of these forsaken pawns of war?"

  • You keep surprising me, dude ;D

    (Don't play with me)

This is a very old song, but... you know when it comes to music -> There's no such thing as Old or New, hehe

  • Was the surprise about the Within Temptation song or the spoilers on some equipment location in CS/CoP?

If the latter... There's also VSS in Burnt Village on Zaton in CoP. Might be more useful than SVD since it's lighter.

Also "Somewhere" could also fit to that one part of Nier Automata Route A. The "MIA: Find 9S" one. Especially WAFFy considering how it ends...

...and what degree of Being Dunked On you actually find the poor little dude in (flakking crucified).

Now this one reminds me of flying an attack helicopter in Battlefield 2.

  • Both ^ ^

Speaking of Battlefield 2, somehow reminded me of Crysis 2, lol

  • Ooo, classic... though I am a fan of 2 & 2142 more ;p

(This movie is for a summer in heaven.... this move will end in the winter, as for the other movies I don't know, we with you will come up with the climate...)

  • Well, I played 2 and Battlefield Vietnam (the old one). Found a rather precious mod for BFV called battlefield Vietnam Arsenal and loved the flak out of it. This song was a part of its soundtrack.

I later found out that Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song and Black Sabbath's Paranoid were also there (I didn't know how these treacks were called back then; also Paranoid was covered by FUNKER VOGT of all people!).

  • Yeah... I think I've seen those, but not sure

This is a folk/national song modernized by our famous group "Deep Zone", I am kind of in this mood now, lol

Ok dude, gtg... see ya later or tomorrow, take care man! ;)

  • Cya tomorrow then ^^

Now, since the gif I posted earlier reminded me of 9S's tendency to get absolutely rekt (like... the dude probably has a Ph. D. in getting owned) yet at least survive or complete his mission... there is one song I'd associate with this level of tenacity.

There are some differences in lyrics, but aside from the last lines of the chorus ("Hundred men-charge again-die again" => "What is dead-can no longer-be killed" would be the most notable example) it's a rather faithful cover of the original in spirit.

  • True :D

I also forgot to post other versions like these two (especially the violin!):

    _______________________________

Another modernization of other national folk songs, but this time with some hip-hop, damn... you can never go wrong with such a mix and modernization :P

  • Well, back to the game OSTs...

Note that Hell March 1 has the second part starting at about 3:39. Hell Marches 2 and 3 don't have it, and neither do most covers and remixes of HM1.

  • "If your enemy is secure at all points, be prepared for him."
"If he is in superior strength, evade him."
"If your opponent is temperamental, seek to irritate him."
"Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant."
"If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them."
"If sovereign and subject are in accord, put division between them."
"Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected."
SunTzu - The art of War

  • Hmm, she looks fine I guess? I'm not a pro in these matters...

This song was also in BFV Arsenal soundtrack. Naturally when I was just starting playing that mod, I was studying in school, and this was quite similar to how I felt back then.

  • Fine?!!! She's f*cking gorgeous! Like an angel from heaven! :D Russian women are one of the most beautiful in the world! :P

    Okeeeeeeey a different style now:

  • IDK, I guess she's just not my type then... I'm not sure if I actually have a type though...

Then again, I don't have much interest in people in general, not just girls. Most people might as well have the same face for me.

  • The inward beauty is what truly matters, true... however, when you look upon such an outward beauty, pfff... you're just stunned! :tot:.

    Alright, before I go, enjoy:

    ;)
