After entering the dimensional rift i arrived in the styx system where there was a nomad base that had the dock option, but there was a shield around it. I came back with tizonas and sunslayers and i still couldnt take down the shield. Is it at all possible to take down the shield and enter the base?

nope u cant get the sheild down or dock thats the admin base so only admin or serverpolice can dock there

Well you can in single player if you can edit your savegames

Altering the crossfire code is not recommended. And any player that has any modified code and connects to the server will be banned
