SO far the server crashes several times with ver 1.54 and this didnt happen

before ver. 1.55 came up. There are already multiple threads of what need to be done and I

think people still not listening. It is up to us

players to be done is already posted so please follow the instructions if we want the server

Ok it is said that the server will be shut down until corrupted version of 1.54

is not being used anymore. Well that will be a long time. Many dont know that they are

using a corrupted version or not. Im i not to access CF again? I dont want to believe that

it will not come up again. However this would not have happend had the 1.55 mod not been

released before it was ready. People downloaded it trusting that they were doing what was

proper...and now many have Mod 1.54s that keep crashing the server. Perhaps we need a mod

that TOTALY overwites the old one instead of just updateting it to fix the problem. I dont

know. I would hate to see CF come to its demise because of this lates glitch. Well im off

for now. Cant use the server anyway. Hope it comes back up soon. Talk to yas later. [13]

omg dont be so pessimistic OP said the new stable mod

will be 1-2 days away so we just gonna have to grin and bear it he is doin his best his

first estimate was WEEKS but his hard work now means a day or two at most so before u all

moan and complain just think of the effort op is putting in out of sight.

Im glad the stable mod is not far away..but i dont have the inside track of information

to fix it. I know he is. But my message was base on what i read in the forum

So, I downloaded the 1.53 then the 1.54 upgrade from

lancersreactor. Is these ones corrupted as well?

No those are corret but the server will stay offline. Op-R8R is

building a better version...So stay alert!

the truth is we can't tell absolutely everyone that plays CF to get the correct

version, because there's people out there that don't go to forums at all, they just DL the

mod and play, they don't care to be part of a community, so if Op publishes a new version

that when people play it, makes the server crash, ya can't just say "oh wait, this one's

messed up, everyone go back the old version" because not everyone will be able to listen to

that (no offense Op, I was just making an example, couldn't think of another way to word

it)

I know it could be a

complete pain in the arse Op but is there a way to build a splash screen into the new mod

when you go to install it to let ppl know about the current glitch?

idea is crap cos ppl arent gonna run out and get the brand new one immediately, but it has a

chance of reaching non forum ppl by word of mouth that way

would be a good idea, coz there are a lot of players, who never visit the Forum. They will

see in the server list, that they need the 1.54 mod to play, but they wont know, that they

have to remove first all old mods and reinstall them. I just reinstalled the complete game,

coz I dont want to crash the server. But I did it only, coz I often visit the Forum. And

still if there is just ONE player with corrupt files, we all will have a problem.
Maybe,

it would be a good idea for the future, to collect the email addresses of all players for

cases like this...

A

splash screen at the server sounds good, i think the corrupted 1.54s are coming from when a

player tries to overwrite 1.55 with the 1.54 mod. Im not sure, but i believe this is what

corrupts the 1.54 mod they try to use. That is why it it important to totaly delete the mod

from your mod manager...Re install 1. 53 and then reintall the 1.54 update.
