Where can I find info on the best fighter ship available ? There seem to be a lot of new ships.

there is a large amount of good ships and everything else simply depends on your style of playing with them -
You want a good ship to start out in I prefer the black eagle VHF the eagle is just as good. Planet blood you can buy & arm your ship @ low cost including a shield upgrade. Do some podding bit of trading as you go, find a few local wrecks ... there is one with diamond backs mk lls in the south west corner of X 3043 ... starting to upgrade your guns ... go to freeport7 hunt nomads till you get a set level 10 nomad guns .... do some more podding till you have at least 10 mill.. or if you are quick make a run in and out of death valley (you'll need to go quickly to avoid fighting the nomads) pick up the chip from the ragnarock wreck ..... leave death valley without getting shot down.
I've done this at least 4 times in different iDs it can be done.
Once you have your money ..... there are so many great ships to fly and fight with found all over crossfire ....... but why not fly to wheel of sirius in X ... dock all the bases...rep depending check out all ships then decide which to buy there are some very good VHFs & Freighters eg . Quaisar vhf & luna sunrise freighter Both new ships.
