well thats been an interesting session. a couple of things, the lining up of tradelanes, jumpgates is shocking especially if your hit by virtually anything throws all out of wack and everything just freezes. so you cancel then slowly try again. i fully realize they are big and awkward and dead straight to preform these actions. 7 attempts to jump from x-alaska is bloody ridiculus and all from dead in front. also while tractoring in individual items your ship is is just going willy nilly with your course set and and in movement. if i put cursor on item in scanner box bottom left and click an item i want to tractor the ship is changing course. the cursor is not anywhere to warrant a course change. blowed if i know it,s enjoyable and fun

Troubles with Battleships

Piloting battleships need alot practice. For dock on some JGs really helps manually come from 'bigger' distance in 90° angle to gate in her 'centre'. Some bigger BSs may be hard properly align to jump if there are debris or something else near gates.
Can I ask which BS/DR (battleship/dreadnought) you have?

m8 i fully realize it,s complex and enjoying all the practice i,m getting
but give me a break thats 7 times at different distances from j/g in x3043 to alaska. going to enjoy more practice too. i gave the tradelanes the flick and travel in cruise everywhere . too time wasteing. umm dreadnought too by the way m8 (celestis). all aspects of the bs/dn i don,t have any problem with just as i said j/g ,tradelanes. so i use jumpholes instead. oh well

For some rly 'unfriendly' gates works learn 'right' spot when is almost starting jump (it is quite close to the gate). This really works, helped me more times.
For trade lanes I very often use 3rd person view to center BS with TL ... strafe for BS is not bad and I usually use also reverse thrust. Can be traveled quite fast if you rely more on 'manual' approach.

your spot on as usual m8 for information and problem solved thnx

@Kermit ... about this cursor probs you described trx using the command 'Toggle Mouse Flight' from controls options in main menue
... 'drawback' you have to hold the left mouse button to move your ship
thanks for that advice
