Hello, please follow PRECISELY steps mentioned here: index.php?page=FaqDetail&category=7#question12 (especially part about write protection is very important)

Hope it can solve your problem. Next to this CF is optional run with short-cut leading to freelancer.exe located in Freelancer/EXE directory (this shortcut should be created with FL install I guess)

And one more thing, if you have downloaded fresh files for install (like CF install or FLMM, check please this file propertied PRIOR you do something. If you see there option "Unblock" on file properties bottom, do it. It is some kind of windows protection which works on ntfs disc and it can do many unwanted problems.

For working new launcher you need to have installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1
