I have been having issues downloading from the SWAT PORTAL download page. I have tried several times to download via firefox browser, the Crossfire mod file. Now I realize its a large file, but I have a decent internet connection and I've made sure I am not downloading/streaming any other content. Basically the download times out or stops around 1 GB, but sometimes less. Is this a sporadic issue? Since I repeatedly got partial downloads from this website, I went onto the Moddb.com webpage and was able to download the mod via "gamefront". Problem is, of the 4 times I tried to download the mod from this website, my last 2 attempted downloads have left me with partial/corrupted download files that I couldn't delete. I was able to delete one via windows "safemode", but the other one is resisting all attempts. I am wondering if my computer has contracted a virus, if there is some overlooked corrupted file somewhere, or if this webpage is having software/technical difficulties. All virus scans turn up negative. I'll appreciate any insight/info people can send my way.

Can you try downloading it using JDownloader? Download the program, it's a freeware download manager, and grab the direct link to the mod download at GameFront and start downloading and see if it does any betterEdit: I misread your post, my bad
I would go and download another freeware tool called unlocker. For me I always use it to get rid of files I can't delete. It's a nice little tool to have! Just right click on the file (after installing unlocker) and use unlocker on it. There should be a little box that appears with a dropdown menu, all you have to do is select delete and you should be good!

He downloaded it through Gamefront without a problem, but his issue was not deleting the files I think
Unlocker should have helped, that's what I go to when I can't delete those pesky files
