What Happened To Training?

  • I'm serious if this isn't part of RP my apologies but anyways back on topic, a very long time ago a very good friend of mine p0x used to train with me.
And it is my understanding that this is part of clan duties but it seems to me that this hardly ever happens as it just seems to be expected that you know what you doing.
And how to fight when you join a clan, my apologies to long time seniors of the Freelancer Crossfire mod.
This is bugging the crap out of me and not because I am a little out of touch and could do with a retrain well maybe it is a bit.
But without more people offering training, this could single handily significantly reduce RP activity, I make this point because without training or knowledge.
We will end up with well experienced pilots and a lot of inexperienced pilots not even daring to make a move in RP.
I can't remember the last time I saw a good old attack and defend between a group of pilots or two clans or more, things need to change as we have all or most of us notice of late.
So I am asking all experienced pilots and people willing to help to put this measure in place whenever possible and to make it known that help will always be offered to new or inexperienced pilots.
I know all of this may go without saying but being quiet about it and ignoring the problem is not going to make it go away, one thing is for sure that ignoring the problem will result in less server activitiy and pilots leaving the server.

  • For all ppl who like PvP can be good idea look here: index.php?page=Thread&threadID=25139

For training or to see how things going on in space can be good idea to ask clan members in space or here .. I spent today whole afternoon in space having allot fun doing police RP around Sirius and also Altair.

Inexperienced pilots need to ask ... they can get enough help, but they need do something for it.

  • I don't claim to be good at pvp as frankly most of the time I'm blind as a bat due to genectic issues such as glaucoma and the like but, I would say I'm at least half decent.
Its funny because I can teach as I do understand how to move and shoot in PVP and yet the people, I have trained in the past end up better then I am. ?(
So maybe the approach should be telling new and inexperienced pilots its okay to ask?

  • Yes, communicating with others usually helps.

Even if it was an observation like this one, it was a good point.
