    I wonder why people think they can hide where they are.


    As an isp, we know which accounts log into our servers and which IP addresses are allocated to those accounts. So do every other ISP in the world. The records are there... you cannot hid it. Some people wil ltry and make it more difficult, but that is just a delay in finding it.


    Of cause, this information is not valid to share unless ordered to do so by a court of law.


    Other than that, I am not afraid to let anyone know where I am and Who I am.


    I will also play on the 'real' swat server and not some imitation of it.

    Yes Riebens, it's good to feel safe no matter others can know "everything" about you, when you/somebody got nothing to hide :)

    yeah Ip faking programs, hiding in proxys, using pulic wireless connections etc etc.


    Does anyone else wonder why people hide in this kind of programs? when someone use this kind of stuff just admit he has something to hide. :whistling:


    I remenber some spys that were cought by the real Ip. maybe someone forget to teach him how to hide better :ahahaha:
    and its easy to know who is hiding if you are smart to use fake information. :keeporder:

    They think they can hide, so let them think. The majority of people are "internet stupid", but because they can do a little networking or change their IP, they think they are free from Big Brother. You can bounce an IP to 10 different locations and if we want to find you, we will.


    2nd part, correct, the information we discover can only be ordered by a court......federal court in our case.

    Not illegal to do a trace route on an IP. Not illegal to use one of the many "visual" trace route utilities found all over the web that show your traceroute on a Google map. Anyone can do it...just a matter of knowing how.
