are ID changers crossfire legal? and if so can you guys recomend me some.

Yes, they are legal and you can openly use them.

There are 2 main options, the FL ID Changer, the tool with about 5 buttons I re-uploaded to the "DOWNLOADS" section, functional, with a simple explanation I added, and that shows your Real MP ID when changing IDs. You can swap IDs without having to restart the whole game. Which is why I, before 1.9, sometimes logged in in another char before my previous char logged out (this with the stores usage, which I had to leave in space as I was dropping items to transfer).
It generates a simple text file, where you can see your real ID, and the 2 extra codes which make the ID work with Freelancer. Copying this text file somewhere else will save you all your IDs, forever. Nothing else is needed, than to copy/paste this text file, even on other PCs to use the same IDs.

The second option is FAM (Freelancer Account Manager), there are many people using that one as it's the first, or even, the only tool they tried. And used to it. It shows a generated code from your ID, not your MP ID, it generates a rare format save file with your data, which you can export and import into other FAM installs on other PCs. It is quite more complex, and you can also swap IDs without closing the whole game.

There is a third option, but I don't think it's usseful for you...

There is no limit at the IDs you can have

BUT remember to keep the items ammount lower than the limits. Which are, 100 items / char and 300 / account-ID. So it's safer if you have less chars / ID, so you don't get them corrupted accidentally while hunting for guns or stuff like this.

[box=black] Use FAM, its the best. I tried both of then- ID changer and FAM and found FAM easier. It is also widely used by everyone in case you need to share an account with a clan mate or such. The adf files generated by FAM are also openable in notepad, allowing you to send the account codes to a friend via email or PM [/box]

Both work well and do their job, just that with the FAM you don't even know what your ID is, you just see a large weird number And the FL ID Changer generates a REAL .txt file, where you can send only 1 by 1 MP IDs to another friend (wtf no IDs sharing !!), instead of having to send your whole data and account to another guy.

FL ID Changer has it's 5 buttons clear, "Manage IDs" manages your IDs, "Save ID" saves your ID In FAM I haven't even found these buttons, but I suppose they are somewhere arround the buttons save data, "export" file and stuff.

You can have many accounts. Do you have enough credits to fill em all? )
