  • i see that the best thing in pvp is speed, and now the heavier the ship is the slower it is. so this is a little theory i have about amount of armor that the ship have having link with the ship speed
so i need help to test this but i think i finally understand way there are 10 types of armor and only 3 weight reducers
the thing is "optimal" armor for pvp is 11 000 so if you have ship that have less armor buy armor upgrade that will be equal to this amount
    example cayman =5500 + lvl 10 wall = 11 000
    Lagg 8300 + lvl 4 wall = 11 000
    Saracen 10 200 + lvl 1 wall =11 000

    and the other way arawn
    redemption 13 800 + 30% reduse weight = 11 000

dose anyone else get to this idea ?

  • You can balance it as you see more... fittable for your skills.
If you have better targeting and skills with missiles, you'd prefer a heavier fighter, if you pilot a ship better than guns, a lighter ship, usually you want it more or less balanced, depending your hand.

  • i dont think WR reduce armor just mass of ship. But i dont test this. Only now in lv 43 mission cant stand without armor 100%.

    redemption 13 800 + 30% reduse weight = 9600 Do you think this?

    interesting observations.

  • Well, if you're having an armor on your vessel, you should get used to the drifts that it produces.

If you want to be tougher on hull , you need to get used to the armor " drifts ". If you want to be faster in order to kill your opponents and more vunarable when you get hit, you don't need to get used to the drifts and therefore you can mount the WR.

  • SHS uh no. WR does not reduces the standard armor of a ship. it simply replaces old ship panels by ultra-light ones (which have the same armor conditions, but are less in weight). simple physics: like kevlar and steel. compare these two materials: both may hold off a bullet, but kevlar is much more lighter than steel :)

  • Yes, it's true what you said about kevlar and steel to stop bullets.

  • SHS, armor and mass(weight) are by no way related. It's just that OP made them be like that on ships balance, but you can have 100000 armor and move like a starflier.
