Some Issues I'm having

    I decided to get back intro Freelancer a couple of days ago and after playing a few levels I loaded the Crossfire mod. It looks beautiful but I'm having a couple of problems and I was wondering if anyone could help.


    1. F1 key no longer seems to work. I believe this is disabled for multi-player reasons but I'm playing single-player. Is it possible to return "normal" F1 functionality?
    2. right mouse button doesn't always work. This one is inconsistent. Sometimes the right mouse button will fire weapons, sometimes not and I have to use the number keys.
    3. I've seen screenshots of a cockpit view but no documentation on how to switch to this view. Any help?
    4. The opening cinematics show as a black screen. I can hear the cutscene but not see it. Not a big deal as I can just keep hitting ESC till the main menu shows.


    Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. I really want to play with this mod enabled!

    1. ENTER-F1 didn't work but the F1 key worked fine once I landed so I'm guessing this may be by design and I'm okay with it. Just can't pause to answer the phone when I'm on a mission :)
    2. The mouse thing, I loaded the game where it was failing and it seems to be working now.

    yeah, F1 works when you are docked, but open chat and then press F1.. you can use it in space too.

    Thank you! I have been pulling my hair out in single player trying to figure out how to pause the game. As a dad I have to be able to jump away from the PC at a moment's notice. 'til I found this post I was about to uninstall freelancer to get rid of the crossfire mod even though it's my favorite mod I've used so far.


    You guys should really add this to the FAQ... that or put the F1 pause functionality back in the single player version of Crossfire.

    the removal of F1 was neccessary for multiplayer
    singleplayer and multiplayer can not be seperated from each other
