I wanted to switch from a Kusari Destroyer to a Liberty Cruiser at the station in Daedalus but when I dock the ship simply touches the station and just stays there trying to moor. Do I need to wait really long or are destroyers not supposed to dock at a station like this? I realize I could buy an Eagle and then switch but then I'm going to lose my BS guns as a fighter cannot carry those.

the destroyer can not dock except with planets with mooring fixtures.
you CAN carry the weapons on a VHF...you just need to have enough cargo space for them...or unequip them and trade them to someone with a large cargo hold. -
i'm not one hundred percent positive...but i've been told by many that docking larger ships (destroyers, gunboats, trains, battleships, cruisers) is impossible.
i know in other mods that you CAN...but this is CF.

no VHF is able to carry all Turrets of a Destroyer - 50 cargo per BS Turret is needed. Please ask for help to transfer and reequip your CapShip Mate. Also it´s a long procedure because either the Destroyer can only unequip what it has in hold size (normaly 150 so 3 per round).

Also the cruiser only has 6 or 7 BS guns... where your destroyer has 11 not counting 2 more flaks
