Dear CF pilots
After every server restart or server crash you need to launch your game via FLMM. THIS IS THE MUST
Otherwise you will crash the server!
Be responsible and enjoy in this beautiful game.
Thx in advance

Well, this is true if a player is also playing other mods via FLMM. In my case, CF is the only mod I play, and when CF is the active mod in FLMM, the FL icon is replaced by the CF icon, and activates the CF launcher directly. If the installation is done correctly, one only needs to start FL from the CF icon, which bypasses FLMM.
But the point of the thread is that with the dynamic economy running again, at least once per day, one of those server restarts also cycles the economy files, so a full restart is required to keep the client files in synch with the server files, or there will be problems! ![]()
Thx Centurion, same here.Atm i running CF only, but there are peeps around who run multiple mods(although i think for ppl who can install multi-mods, they for sure has knowledge how to play at CF server. ![]()

How is it possible to run major mods using FLMM?
CF is not compatible with an other mod, right?
Pls do not reply in this thread out of topic and stop with spamming.^^

Mel/Bond is just an @$$ with other ppl ![]()
And you can have multiple mods installed AND using the normal CF icon that starts the launcher normally.... it's what I've done for many years ![]()
Hellraiser
There is some info and rule sections arround, it's not that CF doesn't work with other mods, it's that it's NOT Allowed at all, it bugs the server, gets you warned, banned, etc.
Hellraiser, I can tell you from experience - I used to run Shattered Worlds and Crossfire mods.
First, I installed Freelancer, then Crossfire - lets say folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer. I then uninstalled FLMM.
I reinstalled FLMM, then I renamed that folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer to CF-Freelancer, reinstalled Freelancer and installed Shattered Worlds mod with FLMM. Then I deleted FLMM again.
So, to play, I just renamed both folders (SW-Freelancer or CF-Freelancer to just Freelancer, depending on which mod I wanted to play). Also, if you play singleplayer too, be careful about the savegame folders in My Documents.
With this, each mod was on a "fresh" copy of Freelancer, and there was no possibility that FLMM will mess something up when deactivating mods.
Each mod must be installed on its own Freelancer copy, no other mods beside it (like Speed Mod or something)or you'll get the cheat messages Michael mentioned and will be kicked.
Cool i think this trick should be stikied if it isn't documented yet somewhere. Many ppl i encounter wish to play their old mod (i.e. Discovery) and the new CF 1.81 but find it a pain to switch between mods so they remain on their old mod and 'don't mess up too long' with CF (from what players told me).
Anyway i'm quoting you on the SA forum right away !
Tip: If you are comfortable with RegEdit then you do not even need to uninstall FLMM in order to change mods using this method. Just rename or delete the string value for the currently activated mod in the key: HKLM\Software\Freelancer Mod Manager
If you are not comfortable with RegEdit, or have questions about the above, then just uninstall FLMM as Shockwave says.

Heh, I honestly haven't even looked at the registry, I deleted the whole FLMM to erase the mod installation too...
But Bullwinkle's right.
Well, just renaming the game folder and pressing the "Restore backupts" button on FLMM clears up everything, and keeps the mod installation and the mod-to-be-activated version in the same FLMM
You can have all mods on same FLMM without probs. ![]()
