I ban Ajay, because:
QuoteMods. Playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. without mods gets boring quickly.
I will see what Moddb have to offer (i mean what mods for the game) -
I ban NH because I don't remember ever getting any nice mod from ModDB... But still, good luck!
-
I ban Ajay cus all mods are on moddb... even the Tiberium wars one you are using for wh40k
-
I ban Mike because I doubt there is Sigerous Mod for CoP as well as Albor addon to it (that's the mod I am using, though I have added something from its older versions - current is 2.2 - and still tinkering with it).
From the other side, I doubt there is English version of these. -
I ban Ajay, because i install S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat Complete mod (for better graphic).
I play it few hours but then i unninstall the mod and then the game.
It was fun but...
Why to keep something that i will not play... and i need space on my discks
They are all on red -
I ban NH to tell Ajay that if it's not in english, nobody cares xD
-
I ban Mike because it's actually a rather good mod, with more locations and stuff.
-
I ban Ajay cus if it was a good mod, it'd have an english translation, if not, then it more or less sucks
-
I ban Mike 'cos, not always. I'd made the english translation of that golem of mod I have, or even created an install file for only my additions, but it'd took too much time and effort to even remember what have I edited to put any of the features in. And it all started from adding a VSSK...
P.S. I found out that the mechanism of "Perils in the Warp" actually works in Titanium Wars mod (i.e. spell cast by Imperial Guard's Sanctioned Psyker can backfire, killing the caster. Worst part here is that Psyker is the only mobile stealth detector Guard have (if your commander doesn't have a special piece of wargear allowing him to detect stealth) and his abilities can either stun a vehicle or damage and demoralize infantry squads) -
I ban you cus that game had an interesting gameplay, but apparently the "campaign" is a fake linear conquer the areas one, no story.
That it tends to crash after finishing a map is terribly negative to my experience in that game
-
I ban Mike 'cos, it's the mod then, 'cos I've got the same.
Actually interesting thing may be stronghold assaults. Especially DEldar, Chaos, Spehs Mehreehns and Bolter B*tches. -
I ban you cus I doubt you get a crash at the end of every map xD
btw, do you play the game fairly on Normal mode ? I find it pretty... HARD to go with that. Well, my path was straight the Necron's stronghold at the 2nd turn/attack, but yeah... it felt like impossible, especially with their unkillable god shadow, and after winning that, "crash to desktop with no save". fuu
-
I ban Mike for not saving the game, though I get CTD on 3rd-4th map. And even in vanilla, I was saving the game every time. It's funny that the name of Dark Eldar savegame is "Sick F_cks", and Sisters of Battle - "Bolter B_tches".
And also, Necron stronghold isn't the hardest. Try Chaos stronghold out. At least in vanilla it was one of the hardest, with Obliterators flakking up everything they can reach (And their range is long), and STEALTHED marines in almost every ditch, so (in my case) I had to take Psykers with my forces. To add to that, they have Daemon Prince out there, and factories that build Defilers (Remember Wraithlords? Same role, but piloted by a VERY angry daemon instead of an Eldar's soul) and Hell Talons(Aircraft). They also assault your base with them, and also with tanks and stuff, so keep some force home. I dubbed it "Vietnam on steroids".
And Tau? They've got a Greater Knarlok out there, Orbital strike and they have hidden drone mines in every corner. That's vanilla.
Sisters of Battle? Amassed infantry assault on you. repeatedly (I'd said "Periodically", but it'd been too obvious and sexist) and those goddarn Exorcist tanks (i.e. artillery) in vanilla. In the mod, also Inquisition troops - Storm Troopers and Combat Servitors, covered by two Chimeras and TWO FLAKKING LAND RAIDERS. They eat your tanks for breakfast, while tearing infantry to atoms. Also, the Living Saint that makes everything around her (including her) invincible as long as her shrines stand... and she teleports to the shrine you attack (You can keep her focused on one of them while destroying other three, then kite her from the shrine so it becomes vulnerable).
Orks? Lots of Squiggoths, invisible Tankbustaz, couple of Battlewagons and Grot Stompaz in the mod. How about I'll tell you it's the only map where I ever lost a Baneblade so far?
D.Eldar? Meh. Bring Dais Of Destruction down and you win. -
I ban you cus you didn't answer, do you play it on "Normal" or "Easy" or "Hard" ? And with no cheating ?
-
I ban Mike 'cos Easy (Playing it less than for two weeks), but at this very moment already Normal (as a Guard again), no cheating.
-
I ban you cus I got a jump gate, visited chaos, visited space marines ( a total of about 4 battles xD including taking over Necron's stronghold), it ran well after doing the exe swap/modification for more ram but still had an issue. Anyway, I'm over it, installing Retribution II now. I don't care if there are 6 instead of 9 races when half of those 9 are just monsters, it could easely be as "good/neutral guys" "holy/superior guys" and "monsters"
Like in Starcraft. The graphics aren't too bad, but I can't be "into it".
-
I ban Mike 'cos, won't be forcing you.
Quotewhen half of those 9 are just monsters
Welcome to Warhammer 40K, almost everyone is a monster here. Let's recap:
D.Eldar - sick f*cks
Chaos - Obviously Evil
Eldar - questionable here as they have high goals, but they are arrogant and put their own lives above the lives of other races. Though they're fractioned, so it depends of the craftworld.
Imperial Guard - the regular army of a galactic-scale Empire, counts its soldiers as expendable and isn't above executing one soldiers to make the rest fight har~ *BLAM!*
Space Marines - supersoldier killing machines of the same empire. Actual level of evilness depends on the chapter (For example, Iron Hands love Unfriendly Fire at surrendering allies, while Salamanders actively help civilians)
Tau - Same as with the Eldar, but they're much less arrogant than pointy-ears, and can be reasoned and negotiated with. So they aren't monsters. Their Kroot and Vespid allies are questionable though...
Necrons - ancient undead killing robots (Despite the new codex)
Sisters of Battle - religious zealots
Orks - brutal race that seeks only war.
That's kinda two outta nine. Half of the point for Imperial Guard as they are just people, and a half of the point for those adequate Space Marines, that's one third, not a halfLet's recap for other WH40K factions:
Adeptus Mechanicus (They are even a different state allied to Imperium, not a part of it) - worshippers of a machine god, and of the technology by proxy
Inquisition - State security of the empire
Tyranids - horde of alien locusts wishing to OM NOM NOM everything... or maybe running, 'cos there's always a bigger fish. -
The Tau cannot be reasoned or negotiated with, the only negotiation is unconditioned surrender... that's why they got their bigass gun to just kill everything.
Eldar in exchange of the marines and guards value their member's life, reinforce tactics are also easier for that, and there's a difference between being arrogant and being an elder (not eldar, elder as old), they seen the meaty races born and die due to their own infinite stupidity, while the eldars continue to live on, only affected by the otherworld gods who try to catch their purity to then release them as dark eldars. These lower races are just cannon fodder for those otherworld eaters. It's like saying you don't agree with the part of respecting your elders here in real life
Sure, some die as stupid as they born, but that doesn't change the definition of elder, just like mathematical equations and the exceptions.
The only reason Eldars don't "rule the universe" is because they don't want to. Let dem newspawns do their stuff, but now that they fked it up too much, they come to do what the lower races could never do, and still can't. Arrogant ? They ARE superior, not just "wannabe" like Tau with their big cannon.
Meanwhile, Retribution II, the first DoW game to actually have a campaign for each race. An actual campaign, not just conquest maps without them having any sense or history line, just a little story at the strongholds, which are just 8.
PS: There are also mods to have the original races and such, playable in this new game with actual campaign and sexier graphics. There're also mods just for the Eldar race, more units basically. Eldar fan group unite ! -
I ban Michael, because..
Too much text.
Can't read it, can't see it, can't hear it and i don't want to
