    To add less amount of emphasis without expressing anger, I use "flak".
    When I'm so f*cking angry that "flak" is not f*cking enough, I use actual f*cking F-word, albeit I use f*cking * symbol to partly hide it.

    I ban Mike 'cos it's not a trope, it's just an entry stylized after those "Paint A Hero Black" series.
    I actually have started a list of TVTropes about my character bio, but it's Unpublished Work.


    BTW you won't believe how often Celly gets "Paint The Hero Black" treatment (And in reverse, Discord and Chrysalis were mentioned in Villain Whitewashing).

    I ban Mike because he took it way too literal, because I meant "painting black" as evil interpretation of good character's traits and actions, and "whitewashing" is good interpretation of evil character's traits and actions.
    Like in that spoiler, for example, where three factions of SupCom get both good and bad interpretations. Funniest thing is that both can be applied at the same time, as there's no dedicated good or bad in the story, there's Gray and Grey Morality... just like in real life, where is no pure evil or pure good, and where dark and evil-looking guys can be no worse than clean-looking and light ones (inb4 you mention P.L. again). One of the reasons to love this game.

    And I ban Mike 'cos that my post also reminded me about William Gauge from Supreme Commander 2.
    Mainly because of mentioning of Discord. When I first saw Discord in-series, I thought: "I've seen this attitude somewhere... Gauge?" There were reasons for that, as:
    -Gauge has odd and quirky sense of humor
    -seems (or is) insane
    -had successfully "broken" one of main protagonists (Thalia Kael, after using her naivety to assist him in his "evil" goals which barely made sense)
    -has a lot of power (he later got stripped of - Shiva Prime)
    -Is designated as evil and apparently seems so
    -eventually had a Heel Face Turn (Final SupCom2 cutscene where he assists Gustaf Brackman in transferring into Seraphim protobrain... I flakking WISH he will be main protagonist in SupCom 3)(It only added similarities, as when I watched FiM's first appearance of Discord, I didn't knew about KCaFO events)
    Aaand he was partly beaten by the friendship of Dominik Maddox, Thalia Kael and Ivan Brackman (main protagonists, UEF, Illuminate and Cybran respectively, which were holding the line at the gates to Shiva Prime location in 4th Cybran mission... albeit in the final Cybran mission Brackman Jr. has to face Gauge alone. Well, okay, he has his brain-in-the-jar dad as an advisor and full technologies of Cybran side...)
