    Well, mate, if you PLAY any game- you have one goal- win. If you haven`t any- why you play then?
    And I disagree with your oppinion about "teen, who wants to prove his worth..." - sure, in CF community different ppl with different age. But commonly ppl don`t need to prove anything - they`re prove it in RL.
    All ppl of CF community are friendly for anyone who come and gladly give a help. For most people it`s normal rule, for the rest- server rule. And I repeat it again- Crossfire Server is different life-styles server- you can trade, smuggle, explore but you need to defend all after all. You need to know how to fight.
    Yes, if you wanna be good in PvP, you need to training.
    Your call- you can sitting in the shadow and staying away from any battle.

    I want as much people to have as much fun as possible. That includes experienced fighters as well as inexperienced ones.


    Yesterday it was difficult from the beginning and it was quite obvious even before we started picking that the team with Spiky would be hard to beat. (CSF is learning the hard way right now that it is somewhat paramount to have one or two really good fighters in a battle, btw.)
    That wouldn't have changed if i had made the teams.


    In fact, most often the teams wouldn't look too different if i were to pick them, but since volunteers for teamleaders are usually not that abundant i gladly take on Spiky's offer to pick the teams with his help.


    Anyway, what really went wrong in our team last night is that we didn't have no tactic at all. I'm not good at that stuff and usually have other things to do than think about tactics.
    But i'll be damned if i'm not unto Spiky's rear end all the time next Monday :D


    @ Max: believe it or not, i'm usually not playing to win. If that were the case, you wouldn't see me in ASF/CSF or in most other battles. In fact, you probably wouldn't see me in CF at all.
    I'm playing to have fun, and denting Kermit's hull or just giving him a bit of a hard time qualifies as fun, for me ;)

    Lucy, you are not a "green" noob, and not easy target, in fact for you. I`m always have a pleasure fighting with you, in the end with my win or fail. If all ladies of CF community would have the same experience, it would be great. After all, I know that I have a high chance to be killed by several pilots of CF, but I wanna win anyway- it`s called a "fun" for me.

    Also, I been exploring in singleplayer and found where they hide the big launchers (Nemesis, Cataclysm, etc) so next week, I'ma gonna have missles! :P Hope to see you there.

    Most likely i also don't play to win. I am just that clever to not fall apart and let my feeling own me ;)


    I play to have fun or to forget about RL now and then... Sometimes i let me kill - to make my opponent happy - cause i know some of them are feeling happy when they got someone killed. It has something to do with mental power and not let feelings rule the game

    Furthermore its not always good when relative greenhorns are fighting the advanced and skilled fighters - cause most likely they will not learn much - cause the fight are developing to fast to recognize what manoeuvres have what result - imho

    it pleases me that my thread draw so much attention. I don't stick with my opinion. And I don't want rules changed and and whatever. TDM is fun, for me it was fun - at least when I forget about my troubles in the last two rounds. I only wanted to tell you, what I experience and what I feel.


    It's interesting to see different opinions. To me it's important to realize who wants to win at all cost and who is there "only" for having fun.


    Well, if I have time next monday, I will be there in space, because Rex Nebular invited me so charming....
