    the benefits of being member of a clan is:
    - you can do whatever you want (as long its withing clan and server rules) and direct all players to the next responsible person - the clan leaders^^
    - you can get access to equipment and or money from the clan inventory
    - you can get access to the clans knowledge (about the universe and or other clans and players)
    - you can join the asf/csf combats without any complications
    - you can somehow be a part of the big family (clan related and cf community related)
    - you are direct involved into the roleplay (without enforcing roleplay others may care about you ;))
    - and perhaps some more^^


    the cautions of being member of a clan is:
    - your roleplay is defined - no others are allowed

    There a more drawbacks to being a clanmember than Huor listed. That's why picking a clan is very important.

    Long reply: Yes, most of us are of German origin, but most of us can express themselves more or less correctly in English.

    the most used language here is english, even there are a bunch of people with german as native language registered here.


    somewhere here in this forum is also an area where you can talk german, as much as you want.


    the language ingame is english, even german players (or players who are able to talk german) are playing online.
    system-chat-language should be english, since thats the language, the most players which are online do understand.


    the events on the server are also moderated and lead in english, and unfortunately hooked up at this time, where americans do have the most time to play and take part at those events.

    clan or no clan - thats the question


    clan?
    - rules to pay attention to, exept the server rules (which are above everything else)
    - roleplay which is fixed (mercenary, police, pirate, smuggler, or just simple trading)
    - there is someone (mostly) who tells you to jump, and you have to ask, how high ;)
    - reputation to other clans are already made (hostile, neutral friendly, no matter what)
    - permission to several systems, already granted (either fully or partwise), denied
    - mutual defense agreements (between allied clans) already made (so you should pay attention to those systems too
    - and several other things, i did not list


    no clan?
    - rules to pay attention to, are not there, exept the server rules (which counts for everyone, clanmember or not)
    - roleplay free to pick (more characters more roleplay, if you want)
    - there is no one who can tell you to jump
    - reputations are NOT made in general (unless you picked a role to play, which is not likely seen from some clans)
    iE be a pirate and cops will fine or kill you for piracing
    - permission to the most systems are granted (depends on the role you picked to play of course)
    - mutual defense agreements are not made, unless you get hired by a clan (in case you are a merc) to defend and/or watch the system
    - switch your roleplay by changing license as much as you want, since no one can force you to pick one and keep it (but remember, it could have some effects to your reputation, even you are not a clan member at all)
    - and several other things, i did not list

    Lucy said it already - but in some weeks i tend to use more english than german^^


    We dont fear to use english in general but beeing in clan group we mostly use german.


    So may i ask you whats your intention of asking? Will you apply to the clan only if its english?...

    - Clans and OP pay this Server, so you are able to play on it (your last donation was when?).
    - In Clans you get additional Jobs for more fun
    - You can reach positions in Clans for more fun
    - In fights you will understand how your mates act, it´s a completly other part of playing the Game called tactical
    - Clans offer what they know to you
    - You never will be alone even when a new Player

    I'm thinking about joining a clan and TRF seems like a very good match for me as a player, I'm just not confident enough in my german to join a clan where people mainly speak german xD

    Well - understand or speaking german is not a premise to join our clan. As we figured already out we are also good in english ;)


    We would be glad if you decide to join our clan and every support is welcome - knowing that the police is doing well these days - another pirate fighter would be good idea to increase our powers. If you dont mind to give it a try feel free to contact us in game and maybe register at our forums (dont fear to use english although most is in german there (its based on our clan history :) ).
