Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but all of a sudden the
Crossfire Mod crashes my entire system, whereas before the
recent server change, i had no problems. 99% of the time this
happens when using the navmap, the other 1% happens during flight. It just crashes the entire computer making it reboot. this happened like 6 times in a row. Since i changed nothing, i have flmm v1.31, have 3d sound disabled, and all my files are fresh installed, i only set it up to play this mod specific, i am wondering why all of a sudden this is happening. Is the mod corrupt server-side? Please help.
(i am pretty new here so be gentle)
Crashing All of a sudden?

since all others dont have any problems its very unlikely that there is a problem with the server

crashes ur server??? WTF??

goodone - what do you think can cause this multiple processor issue.
I have the same problem now and then - but i am running SP3 already. The cache system is working quite different from one core systems - and as far FL wasnt designed for dual cores this can indeed have an affect. Unfortunatly i couldnt figure out at which point in game the pc starts to reboot. It happens sporadic And system error log doesnt tell me anything - hm i will observe this - dunno - i hope i can figure out anything to get light into the darkness

maybe it's cos of that SP3... has it been officially annonced&released [RTM] yet??
-
it has magnet^^ i read it 2 days ago
-
I doubt that you're using RTM [Ready-To-Manufacture] cos the current version is RC2 [Release-Candidate-2]
LINKAnd RC2 means that it isn't completely done yet - only that there won't be major changes in code base or something like that. Also it means that it's only for testing, that it's not stable and there are expected bugs and stuff like that
-
well magnet - my fault - RC3 was released
Nevertheless the problem was also in SP2... so nothing changed really... I personal assume a hardware mismatch - but i cant confirm this -
well..i do not have a dual core processor.
none of this helps. Since nothing on MY end has changed, it makes no sense for the mod to be crashing my system. this only started happening since the server change. So you tell me what the problem is? I'm guessing no one knows.QuoteOriginally posted by goodone
(plz op move to the support section.)what we have here is another case of multi-proc issue i guess. plz take a look at this.

maybe a bad timing - i dont know how the new server can cause this - unless the new server dont hack your system - and this i would exclude
So i am quite sure - that this problem is on your side. Same like on my PC. Do you have the newest driver updates, network, graphic, sound... I assume that something must not be OK with one of those parts. I have to analyse my restarts more. BTW anyone of you has someinformation how i can retrieve the information from the blue screen? I have seen this at my pc - but it went so fast that i cant recognize anything off it

If you have problems running Freelancer on Dual Core.
Try googling OneProc. (This program is used for Tactical Ops, I do not know if it is used for other games, i still run on a single core system)
This program makes the game run on 1 core (I think)
Otherwise you should try researching for solutions like Freelancer dual core on google
