Cargo Pods

    In OpenSP at Sol I bought a frieghter, but not before I'd saved the game in case I'd screwed up, but then it said I had to be level 50 to buy cargo pods.


    I read the tutorial on modding the ptough.ini to increase the max level, but it says that SP is only capable of going to max level 40.


    My point is, why have these items if the level requirement is higher than can be achieved? and is it possible to work around this issue?

    i've been told that cargo pods are a waste of money: completely useless
    but i never bought them, so that's only hearsay 8)

    i have some cargopods mounted, so my train doesn`t look so nekkid...

    those cargo pods for a goo sight of ur train. U can bring the cargo without them, but i have a 6 zinc cp:)

    plus it seems that they`re providing extra protection
    once i ran into a bunch of DK`s with my train & at least 15 seconds passed until they started to tear apart my shield... instead of my shield going down, they blew up my cargopods

    u don't need to buy them. just ignore them.


    and u should not buy them, cause they add a hit point to ur ship, making u more hittable. if u r skinned, most of npcs can't target u most of the time, only cockpit hits count, and cds don't work quite the same too. :D


    so, if u r experienced flier, u could even travel dk space in a train, and kill some dks with coal turrets u can mount. i love that and do it when i'm bored. :D


    anyway, if u need to raise ur lvl, u can do that with freelancer character editor. swat download section...
