no - its not only a problem with the moddb
but its also not a trojan
its a heur/crypt signature that originaly does not belong into an exe file
thats why your antivir does detect it
but in fact it is needed to run CF correctly
let me guess: Norton, Kaspersky?^^
I had all sorts of faulty messages by those programms. Appearantly those programs claim something to be a threat if they cant read it.
maybe its avira 
in simple: it's all ok. the "trojan" is used to get files for dynamic universe & economy
btw kaspersky internet security 7 gives a trojan warning (trojan.generic.p2p or something) only like 2 mins or so after launching of the launcher

Launch the game once, then exit it, then launch the launcher again to complete the update...

i use norton, and i never had false alarms in my life (i use it since the time of dos). kav is another story...
i played now a while (bretonia)
and all work fine
and i discover the blood planet system 
nice ships there
youre mod is the best (i played discovery, crossfire is way more balanced)
(but some ships looks bad, it is only my opinion, that some need work by the textures )
